But instead of landing Iverson we go after Webber with a package of Francis & Big Game or more realistic M.Rose.

That would be perfect for us. We would save 15mil if it was M.Rose & 30mil if it was Jerome James. Webber can knock down those 15ft jumpers just as well as Frye who is struggling so right now its not a good example. But Webber would keep Curry in single coverage. He also will get 10rebs a game. And his passing out of the high & low post would be huge in Isiahs offense. Yes his defense will be horrible. But we are only tied to him for this season and next. And it would be worth it just in the money we save and the fact we can clear that glut at G with Franbury nate, Crawford. Q can slide to SG with Jefferies at SF. Balkman can now get more mins as primary backup to Jefferies. Though Q will still play SF mins with Crawford playing SG off the bench. Frye can come off the bench at Center with Lee at backup PF. We would have a deep frontcourt. With Webber even if Curry is having a bad game or gets in foul trouble or anything. Webber now can keep the pressure on the defense in the frontcourt. And If we face Yao Ming who will eat up Curry at least we can win at PF with Webber. While Curry still maintains production.

Im not expecting Webber to be a savor or in the long range plan or even a quick fix. This move helps us in the long run buy dumping Francis & another contract and in the immediate future with his shooting, rebounding, passing. This is the only move I can see that would allow us to unload Francis.

i don't there's any chance the Sixers would help out the Knicks by taking on the extra salary in Francis' contract... good thought tho.
