I don't mean to be a killjoy or anything but am I alone in being a little bit leery and uneasy that so much stock and expectations are put into Jeffries' lap right now?

No doubt he'll help our defense and he does the stuff that doesn't show up in a boxscore, but I'm not so certain how much of a difference maker he'll be and how much extra wins his mere presence will give us.

Not to mention we still gotta mesh him into our rotation with the other guys, which is going to cost some guys minutes.

I don't know. I'm too uncertain about the guy right now. Someone educate me here.

I have said the same things for weeks. He is above average defensively, but he is by far the worst outside shooter on the team, he can hit free throws but he will help rotations in my opinion

He plays D. That's why everyone is eager to get him back.

Any improvement on D would be huge for this team. It's not Jeffries specifically. It's having any more defense at all that makes some of us think this team will start winning more.

we will start the first quarter better because he and q will be there we just need a defensive point guard that dosent allow penetration and hoping frye can be a good weak side defender

I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Isaiah knows that a starting 5 doesn't need five scorers. Less shot-heavy minutes for Jamal means more shots for the players he wants to shoot the rock (curry, richardson). It's good basketball; you want to your highest percentage shooters to take as mayn high-percentage shots as possible.

So, you take away minutes from Francis and Crawford. You give their shots to Curry and Richardson, and you get more defense (hopefully) from Jefferies. It's win-win.

Plus, it gives your second unit more offensive punch.

My thing, is, why are we still talking about D-Lee going to the bench? Please, say it aint so...

Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

He's not a big time player, but he'll help.

He's a starter from a playoff team, he's a solid defender, he can rebound and run the floor. He'll help.

I do think the one guy's return that's going to make things complicated is Frye's.
