Yesterday, with a 7-14 record, Thomas spoke positively about the Knicks' fate. In his opinion, the Knicks are "on the right track."

"We're not in a bad spot considering we have had two of our main guys out," Thomas said, referring to Jared Jeffries and Channing Frye. "As much as people want to be negative sometimes with our team, my job is to be real with our team."

Bush's approval rating is like 30%. I think Isiah's is lower.

I question venting six years of frustration on a group of guys who are trying.

I don't think anyone is booing the players, except maybe Marbury, the people are booing Isiah Thomas and Jim Dolan. These players represent these two men and thats why people boo.

Why do you think Dolan doesn't show his face at these games, he knows he would be booed unmerciful if he were on the jumbotron, which is why he doesn't attend or asks to not be shown. Fans have no other choice but to boo the product thats on the floor.

That AND because last time I seen Dolan courtside, he was threatened by an ex-strangler.

See this is what doesn't make sense to me - when you pay for a ticket and show up and boo - you are giving Dolan your money and booing the players. The only way to boo Dolan is to not give him your money. The guys out there trying are the only ones who hear your boos.

The real way to get rid of Dolan is to not show up at the games until enough people do it that he's forced to sell. Showing up and booing will get Isiah fired eventually, but if anyone thinks that phases Dolan or Mills at all - I'm sorry, you're crazy. Contrary to what Briggs says - Dolan is the George Bush of this organization - a sheltered pretty boy who has never had to work a day in his life for anything, who has destroyed any business he's been handed. Dolan is doesn't hear the boos in his bubble. He may hear the thud of the Garden's bottom line if enough people stay away, but that's it. Booing the team is just that - booing the team. And to a man, they're trying.

So you're telling me that season ticket holders(much of the garden crowd is filled with season ticket holders) should cancel their season ticket plans if they are disgruntled, so the poor players don't feel the brunt of the booing? Anyone that cancels their season tickets is at risk of losing those tickets forever because when the team is back and good again, those tickets will gone in an instant. I can't see any season ticket holder canceling because they feel bad about booing because it's bothering the players and these people are keeping their tickets because they don't want to lose them. They have every right too boo.

If you are booing Dolan, yes, you should cancel your tickets. That's the only way to reach Dolan at all.

If you are booing the players, fine, boo if it's warranted, but the issue is that it's not warranted and most people here admit they are booing the ownership or Isiah, and maybe a few Marbury cat calls. I'm just telling you that if you think going to a Knick game and booing makes Dolan think, "hey wait, they're really booing ME!" you are insane. the guy lives in a bubble. go boo his band, even then he'll probably think you're just jealous.

People aren't paying for tickets with the idea that they're coming to boo. They're hoping that they're coming to see a good game with an honest effort.

Notice, the fans only start booing when the effort isn't there. Specifically on the defensive end. You say that they're out there trying but you can't honestly say that when you watch them play defense.

At the end of games when they're not even in it, fans are mostly booing Isiah and Knicks management for the lack of results in the 3 years that Isiah has been here. And IMHO the fans are completely justified in their reactions.

PRICELESS.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

That's BS and you know it. They've been booing at the drop of a hat for most of the season. First bad pass, audible groans and such whenever Marbury touches the ball. It's been premptive booing.

If what you were saying really was the case this would not even be an issue. And don't say Isiah's made it an issue, I was mentioning that the fans have been bloodthirsty from like the second home game onwards. heck, even the first MSG game they were booing and it was a five point game at half time. and they were booing lustily.

they have a right to be frustrated with the team for the last six years, I know I am, but I don't get giving Dolan your money and then booing guys like Dlee, Curry, Qrich, Balkman, etc who are playing hard every night. Doesn't make sense to me.

That is very well said. Better for the fans to stay away from MSG if they are only interested in booing. The power of the empty seat is more vocal that any booing.

dude, Marbury took most of last year off and has showed that he takes nights off THIS year too. Thus, Marbury gets booed when he makes mistakes. The Garden has given Marb about a 2 year pass and are fed up. I've been to games where some of the other guys make mistakes and they don't get booed. Q really doesn't get booed and he makes plenty of mistakes. It's the cummulative effect of a couple of years that is prompting the crowd.

You know, I CAN"T FUKCING believe we are talking about booing. What next, players can't play if opponents trash talk? Too much talk on the court is too much pressure to perform?

If the fans were going to boo attendance would be rising rather than dropping.

Had people not been told to expect a different kind of season than last - or put another way, if fans were told to expect just as gutless a season as last - hardly any tickets would have sold.

It's the disconnect between performance and expectations that gets the catcalls.

if they're booing Marbury, that's fine. he certainly deserves it, but from what I've seen it hasn't been just him and I'm commenting mainly on people who think they can stick it to Dolan by booing at a game - which several people on here keep saying and which I just don't get.
