In a word: NO.
His 0.5 asts a game are deplorable. His inability to block a player driving to the rim is disgusting. His inability to defend any player with an ounce of scoring ability is dispicable.

But.... HE CAN DUNK!!! SO HE'S GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

That's one of the hardest intangibles to find. I don't think it's fair to blame him for that. If he can learn over the next 3 or 4 years to pass better out of the double team, he'll be good enough for me.

I think his scoring was quiet last night because no one else scored. What I mean is that it looked like everyone just thought Eddy would win the game by himself. 20 and 10 on 50% shooting, I'll take, but you need someone else to put points on the board.

Curry needs a workmanlike PF as his partner. This is why I am confused as to why Zeke would put Lee back to bench.

Last night wasnt one of his best games but in the past he would have put up 4-2 on night like that when he wasnt sharp. He is staying aggressive. His assists are on the way up. he had 2 last night. 2nd game in a row with 2 assists. He has 14 now. He had 19 all year last season. The big way he helps though is bigs will not rotate now when our guards drive the lane. They are afraid to leave Curry. Teams are really watching Curry now so if the guards get in the lane its often wide open. Last night early Marbury and francis scored on layups without Thomas even budging from Curry. Few players in the NBa make other players better. Maybe instead of looking for new ways to bash him we should be happy to see him progressing. Just a thought
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

These numbers clearly suggest he doesn't

Curry is a joke. He doesn't play defense (you'd have to raise your arms above your waist to do that), he doesn't block shots, he doesn't pass, he's a terrible rebounder (if the ball doesn't come right to him, he's not getting it) and he can't shoot free throws.

All he can do is score from within 3 feet. He's not even better than he was last year. Isiah is playing him 6 more minutes a game and he's being force fed the ball, that's why his average is up despite his FG% being down. He takes more shots, his average goes up. That's what it comes down to. He's not better.

While those numbers suggest he's improving they were the absolute worse they could be last yr. Not hard to improve from Zero. Same as Knicks 23 wins last yr and Zeke having a chance to imrove this yr. So far he's improved on the pace from last yr by 1 game are you encouraged by such improvement?

wow a guy puts up 20 & 10 & we're bashing him for not helping the team play better basketball... how about bashing Marbury for his pisspoor defense on Arenas & crappy shooting percentage last night? what about Steve Francis for all his boneheaded turnovers & poor shot selection? how about Q Rich & Nate for not showing up to play w/their usual intensity last night? nah, let's bash on Eddy Curry for putting up 20 & 10 for a 3rd straight game... i love it.

i'd much rather have Erick Dampier & his 9 / 8 / 1 per game... we'd be a playoff contender for sure.

I'm in agreement with the Marbury observation. I'm wondering myself if these 2 are 1 in the same. Very talented basketball players that can explode individually but when it's all said and done, very lazy/low IQ's who do not make their team better.

At least you're on the same wavelength as Isiah. A one-dimensional wavelength. Did anyone say they were basing this on one game? Nope.

If you want to keep Curry, then you come up with the plan that surrounds him with players that can actually make this a success (success means one of the top 6 teams in the league, not .500). NOT an easy task, because Curry is so flawed that we've already determined that David Lee alone isn't enough to offset his flaws. If you can't find the right combo, then please STFU.

And believe me, nobody is giving our jackass backcourt a pass. We want them gone, but it's been said many times that it's a given. At least Curry has some value around the league, and some foolish team is prime for making a mistake and giving us cap space and a pick for him. We should take advantage of that.

This is horrible, this is like racist levels of hate. And not you guys hate Curry because he is black, I'm saying that if Curry was a race, you hate him like a racist. LOL Curry plays better and the Curryist come out stronger....... can't make this up.
This is truely toooo funny. When the man was sitting on the bench last season because he only played the first quarter, Curry didn't get this much hate. Ohh, it hurts.... the Laughter is side spilting now.

I agree, it can't be argued, but tht is why I get hopeful about this current stretch. That is all we need out of Curry, a true post presence and a rebounder.

I can't believe you just compared this to racism. I don't think anyone here hates Eddy Curry. We are sick of him being overrated when he does ONE thing good, is average in a group of others, and is among the league worst in a third group. We see him for what he is... a pretty good interior post player, who is a below-average rebounder, terrible defender, terrible free throw shooter, slow, still a little out of shape, terrible passer. The post game makes him not a bad player to have, but we gave up more than Eddy Curry is worth when we traded for him, are overpaying him, and now look like we may be building a franchise around him. That's cause for concern. That's also not hating; it's reality.

OK Solace... i guess in your world anyone w/a differing opinion should keep their mouths shut... in my world, i like to discuss differing opinions & debate them... do i want to keep Curry? i don't know right now... all i'm concering myself with is watching his development, & right now he's showing me things he's never shown me before, & i'm liking what i see... does he play defense? obviously not, but neither does 80% of the other guys on this roster... i told u before the season started this season wasn't about W's & L's for me... i wanted to see progress out of the young players we had, unloading of the overpaid underachieving veterans, & then figure out what to do w/the team from there... so far, i like the improvement i see from D Lee, Curry & Nate for the most part... does that mean i'm satisfied & that i don't want them to continue to develop? of course not... that's a ridiculous notion & anyone who says they're satisfied w/what they see from this team is lying... i realize the reality of the situation this team is in... they're a bad team, but they're growing... they have tons of flaws, but there are a few highlights worth being hopeful about... i'm not going to waste an entire season being critical of every mistake they make & miss out on the progress that i see in some of the younger players.
