the wrold is based on very few individuals and their particular egos--oh yeah lets not forget cheney=dolan not don i mean richard the one with the lesbian daighter and bad ticker. same story here two--the real power brokers with their stooges out in front--their egos may be even worse!!!!!!

I think this is an interesting analogy but not accurate. Bush is far more clueless and never did it in the field of play or battle field. Isiah has a plan based on his sucess as a player. Bush had a plan based on what neocons told him to do. Bush has painted himself and the country into a corner and is grasping for anything to get out (Iraqi Study Group). Isiah has not fully deployed his vision yet (Jared Jefferies). There has never been a Mission Accomplished moment for Isiah. These are just a few of the differences but it is an interesting analogy.
I am for more disgusted with Bush than Isiah.

Why it's the same thing-ego-driven people who DONT want to be proven wrong at the expense of anything or anyone. Of course it's not the same level of importance-- million miles from it, bit in essence the same mentality.

Wrong again, scud missle breath.

How many championship rings does George Bush have?

Would he sign his own Moms up for an extended tour of Iraq with The Marines if he felt it would make the United States a safer place?

I don't think so.

Isn't signing up for the military a personal decision?

not when there was a draft on and GWB got a cushy national guard job that he didn't even report for, but whatever.

Isiah is doing a bad job and he's cracking under the pressure, but that's quite a bit different than sending thousands of american troops to war and having untold thousands of iraqis and americans die. Bush has never succeeded at anything in his life, except being born out of the right uterus. Isiah can at least be proud of his draft record.

weird, bad analogy.

You guys are being way too touchy. Briggs even said what they did was not of the same importance, not even close. All Briggs was just saying is that they are both extremely ego-driven and refuse to admit mistakes. Briggs isn't wrong.

You have no clue what you are talking about! Waiting to find out if a loved soldier is still alive is Iraq is much worse than watching the Knicks lose. Really! Bush is arrogant and out of touch with reality. Isiah made some bad basketball moves. As far as what briggs said to compare the two guys, its ridiculous! You can call 80% of the people, selfish, ego driven and jealous! So if he wants to be that technical, ok..On one level, Bush is like Isiah! You can trivialize it even more and compare him to Castro or Hitler or something! They both have hands and feet!

Don't give me that line "you have no clue what you are talking about." Show me the same respect that I show you. Briggs only made mention that they both are ego-driven and needed to prove to others that they are right. Bringing dead soldiers into this is uncalled for because now you're making Briggs look like a bad guy and when reading Briggs original post it's quite clear that wasn't his intention and that all he's doing is comparing mental attitude about having to be right.

the comparison is how both are egotistic it has nothing to do with the rest. But comparing him to Bush is a little too much. Compare him to another egotiscal A-Hole not someone who kills people so people don't take it the wrong way

Why are people getting upset? Is it politically incorrect to even bring up Bush's name? I agree that both he and isiah only care about how they look to the public. Is there something else I'm missing?

Please! Stop patronizing.
Briggs only made mention that they both are ego-driven and needed to prove to others that they are right.
This is exactly my point. You can only make mention anyone like that! Most of the people out there are like that! I know at least 20 ego driven people that need to prove to prove to others they are right! If I count this forum, 50% of the posters are ego driven and need to prove to others that they are right. Terrible analogy!
Bringing dead soldiers into this is uncalled for
Whenever you talk about Bush, you have to bring up Iraq, the unnecessary war and the toll! Its not uncalled for, its standard practice. Bring up Bush in a public forum and see if the issue of dead soldiers does not come up.

Are you honestly confused about this even though you know me so well?
Is it politically incorrect to even bring up Bush's name?
Where are you going with this? politically incorrect has nothing to do with it. Its really sad that something like this is brought up on a Knicks forum. Really stupid.

I think its an ok comparison because both guys DO need to to be proven right at the expense of others albeit Bush is far more extreme
