According to one report I just read. I don't know if it's an it's true, but the reporter wrote it like it was a quote from Isiah:

Jared Jeffries received good news yesterday after his CAT scan revealed his broken wrist bone had fully healed. He's been cleared for full-contact practices and the Knicks announced he could make his long-awaited debut in seven to 10 days. Thomas said Jeffries will start immediately and Quentin Richardson would go to shooting guard. That means either Steve Francis or Stephon Marbury is headed to the pine.

So that begs the question of who will go to the bench. I think it's obviously going to be Francis. He seems the most receptive to the idea. I can't imagine Isiah sending Steph to the bench. That would just be to controversial. The one GOOD thing about that move would be that Francis could run the second unit and I think he's a much better fit for that role. This way Jamal can be a SG which seems to be all that he wants to do. He hasn't taken to the role of passer like he had done late late year. This will mean that Nate will see a lot less PT. He's been having his minutes cut recently anyway. I don't think Isiah's been happy with how he's been conducting himself nor how he's been playing.
