Seeing that Q's value is at an all time high and Lakers although doing good now won't get past the 2nd round of the playoffs... how bout this...

Francis
Fry
Q

for
Odom
Mihm
and filler...McKie and Radmanovic...both in their last years.

so...

Curry
Odom
JJ
Craw
Marbs

w/ Lee, Balkman, Nate and Collins off the bench. Mihm can play next year.

Lakers get much improved in the PG and SF positions.

Brown
Frye
Q
Kobe
Francis

Now criticize...

Q basically gives us what Odom can, Mihm and a filler would add very little to the team. We're basically giving up 2 1/2 good players (Francis' knees are bothering him) for one. I like Odom a lot but not for Frye and Q.

I agree. I'm not a Mihm fan. Odom's a good player, but we're giving up too much.

I like the notion of trading 2 good players for 1 better player. but Q is, hard to imagine, nearly untouchable unless we're getting back someone that can shoot from the outside and play solid defence on the perimeter.
I don't know what is salary is, but I could see memphis being interested in a package of Q, Mardy Collins for Miller & some filler (protected pick, etc).

Miami is the place to go to unload Francis. A Francis/Collins for Posey and Williams and a 1st round pick seems fair to me. If Williams continues to struggle with his knee, Miami would have to consider that offer.

No way the Lakers give up Odom right now. He's upped his game to near allstar statuts.

We blew it last yr when we could have had Odom for Frye and a filler.

I love the deal but don't see the Lakers giving up Odom unless we included Lee too.

without Q this excuse of a team we have will crumble completely. look how much of an impact losing LJ had on our team - houston and sprewell had a few good years left in them but there was no leader on the team after LJ
