Problem is that Brevin makes substantially less than Francis does and Charlotte isn't interested in trading for Francis anyway. They have a solid young team and don't need a primadona like Francis on their team.

I agree with your sentiments on Knight though, he's a real solid PG.

Great idea, we would be the only team in the NBA able to field 5 point guards at any one time...

We could get Knight if we were willing to give up Nate but do you really want to trade away a young PG with potential for a 30-31 year old PG on this young team. We should be looking for a trade for someone like Farmer, Felton, or some other young PG. Boston has West and Rondo, both of whom seem to be pass first, defensive-minded PGs. We probably could get one of them for cheap.

I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

nate is an athlete, and not a young pg, he is the worst ****ing pg in the league and he makes bonehead plays every night and isn't making the effort he should to get people involved considering no one can guard him or stay with him one on one.....if he would use his head instead of trying to show the crowd something he would be more complete. I wouldn't give him up for brevin knight as that would be a marketing steal for the bobcats, he plays just wild enough to make the garden crowd care.....

As larry said he is a highlight player, if he plays the right way he should be averaging 5 assists a night

Actually Brevin is a better defender than all of our semi-PG's combined.

If he did that, he would not be so "special"!

I don't know about Nate being the worst PG in the league. He seems to be focusing more on being a playmaker this year. Granted he has a long way to go, but he is a much better pg than he was last year and assuming that progression continues, he could be a solid PG for us in the future. He would not be a pass-first PG, but he could be another Marbury/Francise type PG with hopefully better attitude and defensive ability.

Brevin Knight, Othella Harrington & Ryan Hollins for Malik, Cato & Nate

Knight gives us an orchestrator who plays defense, Harrington replaces Malik's energy & veteran leadership off the bench, & Hollins provides a young backup C w/athleticism & shotblocking ability off the bench to develop into a role player to help this team in the future.

Malik & Cato add some defense to the Bobcats' roster backing up Okafor, & Nate gives them a sparkplug player that can get the fans into the games.

C - Curry / Frye / Hollins
PF - Lee / Harrington
SF - Jefferies / Balkman
SG - Q Rich / Crawford
PG - Francis / Knight / Collins
IA - Big Turd

buyout Marbury

Brevin Knight would make a lot of people better on this team. And he could be had since they want to play Felton ultimately. He is an assist machine and gets after it on the defensive end. He would be perfect for Isiah. He would also help Francis's game in getting him easy shots on the break.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Knight is 31 yrs old. You don't trade a young player for a 31 yr old. Anyone who would do that trade is ignorant.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

if you're talking about my trade proposal, how about giving a more valid reason than the age tradeoff factor & calling people ignorant... if you noticed, there's a young, athletic shotblocking C in that trade proposal as well that could fill a need on this team... the only real ignorance is not considering the big picture & instead seeing things through a limited point of view.

No I was talking in general but if you want me to respond to your proposal ok. Hollins sucks-was undrafted and hasn't played a minute yet. Harrington we have seen and no thank you. His positive is decreasing maliks minutes? no thanks . So its trading nate for a 31 yr old. Dumb. IMO you never trade a young up and coming player for a 31 yr old. Nate at his worst will be a sparkplug off the bench for the next 7-10 yrs. At his best he will be a star.Remember Jay Buhner for Ken Phelps.Im sure at the time someone thought that was a good trade also.

Much is made here in this forum about how the Knicks need a point guard like kninght...My agrument is that our shoot first guards has helped Curry and Lee with the penetrations and dishes...
