Many of us have been saying for a while to consider trading for Earl Watson. After the last few games, it seems even more necessary for what he brings: passing, poise, leadership, defense, toughness, etc... Think how many of our close games, it would have helped to pair him with one of our scoring guards and get a stop vs. the opposing teams penetration? Marbury, Francis, Nate and Crawford couldn't stop penetration vs TJ Ford, Ben Gordon/Hinrich, Parker,Telfair, etc. While Watson has his limitations (poor shooter), and will never be as talented as Marbury, Francis, etc - he seems to know how to lead a team, and won't break the bank to get him. Would you do any of these possible trades?
1)Crawford and future #1 pick (whatever year we have one - 2012?)for Watson and Sene (or Petro). Would give us a defensive project to complement our defensively challenged project (Curry)
2)Crawford and Frye for Watson and Wilcox. Again, maybe just better fits for each team's needs. Don't know that Seattle would be ready to give up on Wilcox though.
Coming soon... the value of Tyson Chandler or Samuel Dalembert
