can coach this team any better than Isiah. Not that Isiah is a great coach, the guys are responding to him, they just haven't learned to play together for an entire game. A lot of you want Isiah gone, if he were fired during the season this team would not respond to a new coach, not Herb, not Aguirre or any other coach they could bring in. I honestly believe that this team will get it, unfortunately it's going to take about 30 to 35 games. I just hope that by the time they get it, there's still enough season left to make something of it.

I agree. The team is playing like a team. It has not translated into wins yet, but they are starting to develop trust in each other. When somebody makes a mistake, no one is blowing up at them. It seems to all be positive support. Curry in the 4th quarter looks like a winning strategy if he keeps developing his game. He is starting to learn how to avoid the offensive fouls and is gaining confidence. This last game you could see that he was really starting to realize that he is better than the opposition and should be dominating them. IT has this team believing, they just need to improve their defense and consistency throughout the game. IT the GM, however, needs to get on the job and find a trade that will bring us that shot-blocking defensive power forward that we need or a trade that will consolidate our talent. We need a 2 for 1 trade that brings in a complete player. I think it will happen by January. Right now everyone, especially in the East, thinks that they have a chance at the playoffs. By the end of January, more teams will realize that they need to make a move and the Knicks will definitely be one of the teams other teams call about possible trades. This team is 1 or 2 good trades away from being a complete squad.

People are so fixated on their hate then won't be able to come around anytime soon...Isiah is holding his player accountable and they are playing hard every night...Imagine one poster saying Curry's play was only acceptable...Zeke will never get a break in this town until this team makes a serious threat in the playoffs...Most here wish he was fired now so he doesn't realize the success that seems to be ob the horizon...This team will play better...They are starting to get a few things...Marbs legs seems to be under him a little now...He is showing signs of his old explosive self and working hard on D...

So far I think Isiah has done a good job...Not great, he has to start winning some games at home...but overall, can we talk about chnging the culture on the sidelines...Where are these guys who preached this all last season....

Thanks for the posts, at least I know two peeps agree with me. I believe that the Knicks will ultimately win 30 to 35 games. It won't necessarily be the record but the improved play that Dolan will recognize. Isiah will be here, no way he gets canned during the season unless the team quits on him and I don't see that happening. The Knicks have a lot of good puzzle pieces, they just have to figue out how to best put it together.

I don't think we know that yet, but it's possible.

Even if Isiah remains as coach, a new President/GM has to be hired who Isiah didn't hire (i.e., not Glen Grunwald).

I wonder about Isiah the coach when he used a 2-3 zone for the 10th time against the Pistons after we gave the a wide open three pointer each time we tried it earlier. As I am wondering that they get another wide open three pointer and Prince makes it.

I wonder about Isiah the coach when the guard who is playing the best sits on the bench so the guard who is playing the worse doesnt have a temper tamptrum.

I think hes doing an okay job as coach...but I still wonder though...

You must not have been watching all the games, Marbury has been benched on more than one occasion. So he is not just playing people because they complain. He also employed the 2-3 because the guards have weak perimiter d by themselves. Zone is a away to protect the paint against penetration. Teams use it against us with success, so he uses it as well. The rotations were late, but thats all due to communication on the defensive end, which will only get better as they start win some games.

I think Isaih has the right formula to make this team excel.

I think you're missing the reverse side of that argument, which was a good point. For all the times Marbury has been benched, how many times has he played poorly and *not* been benched? Consider that.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Well, in IT's defense, if you believe marbury is your best PG, you have to let him play through some rough play. IT benched him a few times to show him that he has to produce or he will sit but at the same time, you have to give the guy some breathing room to try and pull his game together. It is the same thing IT did with Frye and Frye was starting to pull his game together before he got hurt.

Absolutely- same with Curry- you can't just give up on guys because they're off to slow starts.

6 games they have been blown out and they have lost to to very bad teams, we have the worst home record in the league and he continues to make excuses.

His subing is terrible, these 4 guard lineups are just plain stupid, and the team doesn't flow well, he doesn't play the right people together, and wants to put Frye back in the starting lineup when he returns, that right there says enough for me.

His use of Balkman is just puzzling, sometimes he plays sometimes he doesn't, when lee and balkman play together more often than not great things happen....

Not to mention we turn the ball over all the time and make horrible decisions

Isiah has done a great job motivating the players. Its just his 3-4-5 guard rotations that kill us
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

It's too early for me to judge Isiah the coach. Plus they are doing about what I expected(assuming they win 3 or 4 on this home stand). Any coach that is in charge of this bunch would be struggling at this point. A lot of the question marks that were obvious to me over the sunmmer are becoming pretty obvious to all now. That being said the GM that developed those question marks should be fired immediately. taking this job away from Isiah may help alleviate some of the pressure he is feeling.
I just hope that people will like me

One day, some day, things wil get better and IT will show you all. The 2nd coming will happen I tell you, and so will the end of the world. And those who questoined lord Isiah will pay dearly, for they are not true fans.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

What does it say about the GM if the only person who can coach the team that he assembled is himself? The guy who's responsible for bringing ever one of those players here and who has the power to get rid of them.

Do you guys even see how perverse that is?

once you get past that little snag Isiah is coasting to coach of the year.

Wouldn't a winning prodcut make us come around? If we were fixed on only the hate we wouldn't be watching the games.

Most of us would love it if Isiah can turn this mess around.

6-13 is not somthing you over look. 1-7 at home does not make for a happy ticket buying crowd!

He has not earned a break in this town, what has he done YET?

He has been here 3 years now, we have the cap TWICE the rate, and we can't even talk playoffs. WE not talkind DEEP, just talking playoffs.
