I did not catch it but on "cold Pizza" this morning Ewing was to discuss the knicks.

I get the sense that him hanging around and now speaking more is grooming him to be the next figure head, most likely the next coach of the team.

Granted, I thought Pat was a SOB in many ways and a bit guarded of his career. At times he was more concerned about being "the Man" than the good of the team. But I thought he was a true Warrior and played his @ss off most of his career. He developed strong fundamentals when he started to slow down and remained effective.

I can appreciate he has done well as an ASSOCIATE coach in washington and in Houstan, but really not distiguished himself as HEAD assistant coach.

While his presence is formatable, can he really be effective as a head coach? We see many great players not convert well to head coaches.

Would this be yet another Starphuch by Dolan to associate the team with the glory days?

We did this with Willis and it was a disaster!

I think it was SugarRay or someone that brought this up at one point, but if Zeke is still around (and I think there's a good chance he will still be here), would he even want Patrick here?

Tough one to think about.

I dont think Isiah will let Patrick in. i think Isiah is paranoid about having any fan favorite knicks on the bench. Patrick has said for years he would like to come back but he is always told no. If I was Patrick I would just keep coming to games, getting standing ovations until dolan came to his senses. I would love to have Patrick work with our young bigs. Having a link to NY pride would help the players and the fans
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I dont think he is ready nor wants to be a head coach yet. He should come in as an assitant/big mans coach. But if Dolan fires Isiah then it could be Patrick. who knows

Ewing is not nearly smart or articulate enough to be a head coach.

How do you know that? Did you go to college with him and see the score he got on his Spanish test? Is that Jamaican accent throwing you off?
