I actually had them going 7-10 this month but I'll take this too.

Now, it's onto December which has the giant homestand and, we have been less than acceptable at home. Let's take a quick look at our December...

Fri 01 @ Detroit
Sat 02 vs Toronto
Mon 04 vs Memphis
Wed 06 vs Washington
Sat 09 vs Milwaukee
Mon 11 vs Boston
Wed 13 vs Atlanta
Fri 15 @ Indiana
Sat 16 vs Denver
Mon 18 vs Utah
Wed 20 vs Charlotte
Fri 22 vs Chicago
Sat 23 @ Philadelphia
Wed 27 vs Detroit
Fri 29 @ Phoenix
Sun 31 @ Los Angeles

As far as I can see, the only really dangerous team we're playing at home is Utah. That said, I don't want to hear any crap about the "outside forces" when they play at the Garden. It's on the players to show the same poise and hunger as they did most of tonight against arguably the best team in the East. I see 11 home games this month against VERY VERY beatable squads. There is NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER, NONE, ZIP, ZILCH, NIL, NONE for them not win at least 5 home games this month.

Now is the time to win that crowd back, if we're unable to capitalize this gift, we are going to be in trouble. My head says our NYK's go 6-10 this month but I demand they go 8-8 or better.

hey, hopefully this is the stretch where they win the fans back with some gritty, tough wins and get more comfortable at home.

i had them at 5-12.

prior to the season, i thought the team would have to be around .500 by the end of the year to challenge for playoffs.

but with the east totally crappy, if we're still 5-7 games under .500 by january 1st, we're still in it.

I don't know if this is the same record as last year at this point, but I kinda feel good about the team because it seems there is improvement.

The knicks can be a playoff team in the weak east if:

- Steph plays a decent game (or gets booted)
- Jeffries makes a positive impact in his return.

Doesn't sound that hard right?

Let's see...four games on a Wednesday...maybe we can sneak off a couple wins out of the other 6 days a week too...
I like that home stand against some weaker teams, but so far we have't been able to capitalize. Stringing together 4 or 5 wins out of that would be a great lift.
Let's see what we got.

Yes but this is a game of X's and O's, and x = -b + or - square root of b^2-4ac all / 2a. Just finished some Precalc.
