I really hope Don Chaney doesn't insert Charlie Ward back into the starting lineup and brings Howard Eisley back on the bench. Eisley has been solid starting.

He's averaging 6.4 assists per game and has played so well that even though Ward is healthy - despite mildly twisting his ankle yesterday - coach Don Chaney has stuck with Eisley as the nominal starter, having Ward come off the bench for defense and late-game grit.

"Last year was very difficult with three point guards here. [I] didn't really get an opportunity to show what I could do. I came into camp really focused on trying to do things to help this team win," Eisley said. "Just having the opportunity is allowing me to make adjustments better, gets you in a better rhythm."

Clearly. His 3.28 assist-to-turnover ratio is fifth-best in the NBA, and his 10.6 assists per 48 minutes is sixth-best. And after a disappointing showing last year, he's playing with renewed confidence and earning the confidence of his teammates as well.

Give Eisley some props. He's come a long away from a year ago. He's setting up teammates for good shots, running and break, holding his own defensively and his shot is starting to drop from downtown. I still think Ward is the better defender and clutch player and he should finish games on a regular basis, but we should keep Eisley in the starting lineup.

I agree. If it aint broke dont fix it. Let Howie start and hopefully he will continue his solid play. Ward is doing well in his role as backup and 4th quarter defender.

Good question, I was wondering the same thing. I hope old heads like Tonysh, RemBee69, NY_Fan_in_atl, ccmort and co. somehow find this board.

UltimateKnicks is great though. I think I'll stay here. Knicks4life goes down too much.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!

Why?!?!?!?!?!

I hope the regulars on knicks4life somehow find themselves here. Along with the knowledgeable fans here, this will be the best Knicks message board on the web.

I have no idea what went down with Knicks4life. It was certainly sudden.

If Maltre sold the site he most certainly would have given us some warning. But who knows. I went to his other site, Maltre.com, to find that it now belongs to a software company.

I check out this site on occasion, but I usually post on the NYTimes forum, as does another Knicks4life faithful, Laguardiabrian. It is interesting to read the posts there because it has some older posters, guys who have been with the Knicks from the start. They have an interesting and often very different take on things than younger fans.

If all the old guys from Knicks4life turn up though, I might have to start posting here more often. Really, I am surprised that avid posters like Tonysh and CCMort haven't found this place already.

I wonder, could they be posting somewhere else?
