Simmons article got me thinking. Would you make a trade for VC now?
say something like Crawford, Q, and Frye? (i know he suggested Lee, but I wouldn't do it)
Vince would get us into the playoffs this year, and his contract could drop off if we wanted it to.

Now, no way NJ does this right now. But, if they keep losing and knowing they probably won't sign Carter this offseason anyway, they might get rid of him.

We would definitely need to throw in something else because Thorn wouldn't want to just make a division rival better without obvious return.

If jersey makes any trades it will be Kidd and Richard jefferson for KG.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Isiah doesn't want a dominating ball hog and Vince would have just as much trouble adjusting as Marbs and Francis have

I don't think Vince is going anywhere. I think NJ will win the Atlantic.

Probably but well see where NJ is next year when Kidd is on his last legs and Vince is out the door

45-ish, I'm thinking the whole East will heat up. I wonder if because the East is so guard-centric if this is all about the guards getting used to the new ball?

Not a bad idea but you know that wont happen. NJ will rot in place for the next couple years riding out Kidd

that's a good point. I think NJ is at a similar junction to what the Knicks were after the 2000 season. Kidd is on the downside, Vince is not worth a max extension. they should build around RJ and Nenad and Marcus and try to get some players/picks for Kidd/Carter. I don't think they can trade Kidd, but they'd be wise to trade Carter rather than sign him and regret it.
