what do you guys think of this trade:

Knicks Receive:
PG Earl Watson
PF Danny Fortson
PF Nick Collison

Sonics Receive:
PG Statbury

Collison and Watson make the rotation, Fortson is cut outright...???

While we are figuring who would give us junk for Marbs, here's my idea:

Houston gets:

Marbury

New York gets:

Juwan Howard (who we waive on the DL for Houston to scoop back up)
Bob Sura
Dikembe Mutombo
Scott Padgett
Chuck Hayes

the only way out from under Excusebury is to buy him out at this point... no one wants to trade for a disgruntled, underachieving PG who's been playing the way he has this season that carries w/him a whole boatload of baggage & a huge contract to boot.

unless ur willing to take on even worse garbage contracts to get rid of him, like say for instance a trade to MIN for the likes of Troy Hudson, Mark Blount & Marko Jaric, all serviceable players but who's contracts run a year longer than Marbury's does.

Marbury has a role to play on the right team. A team that needs a guy who'll swaddle himself in towels, ans sulk at the end of the bench.

That's my favorite Marbury trade so far. Alston would be a great addition at PG. Then if Francis still needs to be traded, push that Eddie Jones trade just for the ending contract. He is barely playing now anyway.
