Nobody can make a good team (I am not even talking about championship contender) by making dramatic moves.
This is long, tedious job. It takes time, it is boring, and required a lot of investments of money and time.
Also it required trust inside the team of GM, couching stuff, players, and owners. It also required patience from fans and media. At lease somebody from the organization must built this patience instead of false expectations.
IT is just one of the broken peaces of the messy organization and as such I don’t blame him.
He is just one of these executives (see Enron) who inherited the mess and broken corporate trust and just trying to get as much money as possible before it sinks.
Not pretty, but this is America - this is the way we are...

Hold Isiah Thomas accountable for his bad moves, give him credit for his good moves.

Drafting: good
Trading: awful

Dolan is an idiot. If he weren't so dumb, maybe he could hire a decent GM that would avoid some of these mistakes. But I certainly agree that building a good team is going to take some time, whoever's job it is.

To start the process of healing and moving in the right direction the first step is to ADMIT THAT ORGANIZATION HIT THE DEAD END. It's time to stop agonizing and drop the expectation to "0" level.
This will stop the Booo-ing in The Garden, open the door for young players developement and start creating positive atmosphere all around the Knicks.
It's time to stop dreaming and start working...

Let's see, LAL did it when they got Shaq. Miami did it when they got Shaq too, and then Riles did it again by making a dramatic move of JWill, Posey, Toine.

For LAL and Miami it was a finishing step of a plan - long term for LAL and short term for Miami.
do we have any plan?
