This just shows you Isiah doesn't take and evaluate the personel involved when making decisions for the future of NY Franchise.

He brought in a hard nosed coach in LB set in his ways ,knowing his young players weren't ready for Brown's break down build up approach.

He called them mentally weak himself. Why not go after guys with the right temperment needed to play in NYC.

On another hand he as GM of a NBA Basketball team in the "WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS ARENA" with the overzealous media looming large and he brings in (sensitive) type of players to play there.

Obviously he's in over his head as gm/coach. He would be my #1 talent scout but that's about it.

No trading for him, no coaching , no gm duties NADA ZILCH !

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Given the mission statement Dolan gave Isiah when he was hired: make the playoffs and don't rebuild a capped out, talent deficient team, anyone would have been over their head.

Isiah is over his head as a trade negotiator.

I think the Isiah vs Mabury war could be fun to watch. Like Rosie vs Kelly Ripa or Rosie vs Howard Stern, or Rosie vs Star Jones, lol. :)
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

That's exactly why I'm at least a little sympathetic toward Isiah. He's made some awful trades, no doubt. But I think given that mission statement, many GMs would have just gone for veterans with no upside like Shareef Abdur Rahim, Eric Snow, Theo Ratliff who could push the team into the 1st round but no further. Isiah's at least trying to bring in some young players with bright futures. And he has brought in some players that I love (along with many that I hate). My fear is that if Isiah is replaced, we're just gonna see another Layden, who doesn't care at all about young players and just wants mediocre vets who can instantly push the team to 38 or 40 wins (but no further).

If Ainge hadn't submarined his attempt to land Rasheed, he may have been able to make it work.

Say Isiah gets fired after Dolan gave him the ultimatium win or go home.

Do you think Dolan + Mills already has someone in mind to be the GM if Isiah doesn't come thru.

Jerry West is likely done in MEM after this season... maybe Dolan will reach into his deep pockets & bring him aboard?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

This could be a decent fit knicksbabyyeah, these two know what to expect from each other...NO HIDDEN AGENDAS on either side.
