First off this is the happiest I have ever been after a loss in my life! Here's why:

Isiah is not committed to Marbury(Thank God)!

We found out Balkman deserves to play for sure!

Steve Francis!

We learned so much about our team tonight it's ridiculous!

I believe Isiah knows what he's doing as a coach!

What I saw tonight pretty much confirmed what I have believed all year but I think Isiah finally got it tonight!!! We are a 1000% better with STEVE FRANCIS AS OUR PG!!!!!! shhh I THINK ISIAH FINALLY KNOWS NOW!! YES!!!!!!!!

If I am right about Isiah WE ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS!!

Here's what we figured out we should do!

First just get rid of Marbury anyway possible. The guy didn't even friggin' cheer for his teammates once!! And I believe were gonna do just that!

Our Bench is gonna be SICK all year!!! And yes you keep David Lee and Jamal Crawford coming of the bench but make sure they get their 30min! Now I hope the injuries are not too serious and I am going at this like they are not.

You start Balkman at the 3 until Jeffries get's healthy which moves Q Rich to the 2.

Starting linuep!
C Curry
F Frye
F Balkman
G Q Rich
G Francis

Bench
6 Lee
7 Crawford
8 Nate
9 James(if we need him)

Then when Jeffries get's healthy you bring Balkman of the bench but give him 15-20min/game!

I do want Crawford starting with Francis I want him coming of the bench! I'll starting lineup will run the offense and if it's not looking good then Crawford can come in and jack up all the shots he wants!

I really believe that Isiah learned a lot tonight and I believe he will make THESE correct adjustments and we will finaly be able to enjoy watching our knicks again!!!

The fact that this may be true made me happier after last night than I was after that win over the Celtics

Marbury needs to be cut, then we'll be fine

The sad part is that you might be right. I don't think it is physical. He just needs to pull his mental approach to the game together. The guy obviously is spoiled. Instead of asking, "why did IT bench me", he should be asking, "why did the team play better with me on the bench?" If he looks for the answer to that question and adjusts his game, he can become the solid player that I still think he is. He needs to lose this whole Marbury/Starbury bs and learn to play fundamentally sound basketball and get his agressiveness back. IT also needs to run more pick and roll plays to allow Marbury to do something he is comfortable doing while he learns to adjust to the new offense.
Trust the Process

I share your reaction. I don't think the organization is headed toward anything meaningful, but I think that Isiah must have learned the lessons you mentioned. I'd be really surprised if he didn't know just from practices that Balkman was this good, though. The team would be in better shape if Curry and Marbury (rather than Jeffries and Frye) were injured, though.
