Hopefully tonight is the beginning of things to come and this column will end.
Eddy Curry Line Update
The Eddy Curry Line was established to put a spotlight on how truly anemic Curry's overall fantasy line is. The standard: a player must average more turnovers than assists, steals, and blocks combined – in order to qualify, a player must have appeared in at least half of his team's games and averaged at least 20 minutes of playing time.

Curry's perch at the top of the leaderboard is becoming more substantial by the day. In four games this past week, Curry had 11 turnovers and just one positive stat (a steal). On the season, Curry now has 39 turnovers and 13 of the good stats (six assists, three steals, and four blocks), a 0.33:1 ratio.

Mark Blount's had a Curry-like week for the T-Wolves, totaling nine turnovers and four of the good stats (two assists, one steal, and one block) in three games. In 10 games on the season, Blount has 26 turnovers and 16 positive stats (three assists, four steals, and nine blocks), a 0.62:1 ratio.

Corey Maggette almost broke even in three games this week, totaling seven turnovers and six positive stats (three assists, two steals, and one block). In 10 games this season, Maggette has 23 turnovers and 15 of the good stats (10 assists, four steals, and one block), a 0.65:1 ration.

Rounding out the top ten are Amare Stoudemire (0.70:1), Shelden Williams (0.71:1), Erick Dampier (0.78:1), Al Harrington (0.85:1), Stromile Swift (0.93:1), Zach Randolph (0.95:1), and Chris Kaman (0.95:1).

I think what Curry needs is less pressure. He needs to be eased into putting some big numbers by just getting his points within the offense, and once his confidence is up, than feed him the ball.

They did it today, and he did much better.

I think last year we figured out that he needs to be in motion to effective, not camping out on the blocks. If you think about how Shaq used to play, he used to get a bulk of his points on the move, he did back people down, too, but the real threat was him cutting across the lane and getting the ball in the middle and getting of his little jump hook. He also used to burn people with the alley.

If only IT could be saved from himself and just sick to drafting and developing young talent. I'm willing to put money down that if we did not trade away our picks and let IT draft high lottery guys, we'd have a couple budding superstars on the roster already.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Curry was fantastic tonight... moving w/o the ball & very active on both ends of the floor... if he could only sustain that type of energy every game, i don't think anyone here would be complaining about that trade.

man, it's such a tease to see these guys playing this way, albeit against a bad team in the Celtics... still, the East is so weak this year, is it any wonder why Knick fans get so frustrated when they see games like this followed up by clunkers the way the pattern's been over the past several years? when will we ever see some consistency out of this team? ah well, for 1 night at least, i'm a happy Knick fan.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Its a line based on fantasy hoops for geeks. The same guy had Shaq rated 25th among Centers before the season even started. If fantasy geeks were the way to go we would have statsiticans running teams not coachs
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg
