Based on tonights performance against the Celts, i learned 1 thing about david lee.

The dude can play

I see him as a jkidd except that j kidd is a great passer along with a great rebounder. David Lee is a great rebounder along with a great passer. Neither of them are going to score 25+ pts a game, but they are tremendous team players.

Tonight- Lee
11 pts
13 rebs
8 ast

anybody agree??

Lee is nice looking youg dude.
Kidd is not so young and no so pretty...
Seriously the thing that making them close as bball players is that they both are using their brain.
Athletism is important bat it will never make anybody great player (see Marbs, Curry, etc).

LOL, come on guys... J Kidd he definitely is not... he's a good passer for a bigman, that's for sure though.

i'd compare David Lee to an athletic version of LJ (during his Knick years)... he plays w/the energy & spunk of JYD but has the passing ability & basketball smarts of LJ... if he can develop that outside shot, he can be our own version of CWebb in his prime.

I want to excited about Lee but ive already been dissapointed too many times with these knicks. At what point would you guys feel that Lee is the real deal and not some young dude who is fooling us with his excuberance and athleticism?

Lee has played great...Jason Kidd? Not really. He's not a point guard, and typically does not put up 8+ assists a game. He can pass, so I wouldn't be surprised with say 5 assists a game over his career, but not 8+.

The passes that Lee was making tonight were primarily designed plays. Unfortunately for the Knicks, Lee seems to be the only big man that can effectively make those passes. Frye and Curry are solely scorers at this point. Lee is no Jason Kidd though, but he is a good PF.

Definitely not LJ or CWebb. Those two were and are as talented a couple of low post scorers could get, especially LJ. Yes, the back injuries killed him, but even after, he was unstoppable at times. He was just as important a player as anyone else on those teams.\

I personally say let DLee be himself. Save the comparisons until he develops a certain skill set, particularly his jumper.

I've been preaching the word of David Lee since he's been at Florida. I wanted this dude with our 43rd pick in last year's draft. We ended up with him anyway, and we're reaping tons of benefits. He could have ran with the 94 or 99 Knicks.

Speaking of LJ, I miss the big L sign...

It was such a cool team thing, like shaved heads during the playoffs. The entire team wearing black on black sneakers and socks (ala Jordan). Didn't they try all wearing headbands like a year or two ago?

Ahhh the good ole days

Can Renaldo Balkman be reprogrammed to play the defensive two guard in the mold of Doug Christie?

(Please tell Jackie I said hello)

Just curious.
