It looks like he has the best passing ability and court vision on the team. He also looks capable of running an offense unlike Marbury or Francis. He sticks to the plays, down to the very last option.

What do you guys think?
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I think he should start at PF. I don't think the offense has to run through him, but he will improve our overall passing.

If he ever develops a mid-range jumper, he becomes an All-Star caliber player.

He has good passing skills and reasonable ball handling ability but i dont see him as a point forward. Perhaps if he put up assist numbers like today up on a routine basis I would change my mind but that isnt going to happen.

Well, Anthony Mason never had much of an outside shot, not until much later in his career, during his all star years in Miami. Back when Nelson was considering running the offense through him, he was not much of an outside shooter.

Besides, if I remember correctly last year, especially during the winning streak, Lee was money from 15ft with a set jumper. He has not tried that this year, since there has not really been a need, but I think he is capable of knocking down open looks from high post.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Mason also used to get a ton of shots blocked inside. Lee has a much higher ceiling.

Mason was also a pretty selfish player. Lee is pretty team first.

Lee is completely team first. He's a great player and should start. We should rotate Curry and Frye at C depending on opponent.

I don't see him as the ball handler that Mase was but he never seems to make a bad decision on the court and always makes the extra pass for the easy basket.

He has better vision than Mase, and most players. He doesn't have the Mase handle, but he's gonna be a much greater player. I like that Balkman is always talking to him on the bench. He's a good role model for a rook.

Lee and Frye seem to understand how to defend next to each other - when they switched on Yao it was actually sort of effective. Ideally, I'd start Frye and Dlee and bring Jefferies and Curry off the bench, but that's not gonna happen.

Our rotation is jammed up until we can unload Francis or Marbury. Q should play the 2 and Jefferies the 3. Start Lee.

I agree. I bet Isiah is hoping either Francis or Marbury sprains an ankle right when Jefferies is ready.

all Lee does is not force shots. When he's bottled up he passes. I know its weird, but its really that simple. Point forward? NO. Starting forward? DUH

Its rocket science!!! Lee leads the front court in minutes and what happens? 11/13/8 and one TO.

he has a great understanding of where to be on the court and a nose for the ball, which are things you really can't teach, because if you could Eddy Curry would be a superstar.

What Isiah did tonight was use Lee in same role he had intended for Jared. To be the high post pivot in this offense. The play calls for the PG to give it up early to the Forward who then makes the decision on who gets the next pass. After giving up the ball the PG makes a cut and other players make cuts on the weakside of the court and its the Forwards job to make the quick crisp pass to an open teammate. It's what i've been waiting to see since preseason. We can run variations of this all game if we want to. I was just glad to See Isiah trust Lee with the role. Now we'll have two Forwards who can man that important position for us. Jared and Lee off the bench. That's what I think Isiah is looking at now.

Before the season started I was looking forward to seeing more pass and cut and tonight we saw the offense as it was intended to be run. We saw only small instances of one on one play and Isiah quickly made a change to stop it. Lee has evolved the most, but i'm also very pleased with Frye. He's been much better on his post ups in the last few games. The problem has been our guards not passing enough. We also saw how much better it is when Curry isn't the primary option all the timee. They got him on more motion type plays as opposed to strict postups. Lee was great in the high post with guys cutting all around him, he made the right decision almost every time. i think we can expect to see him doing that more from now on. As I said that is actually what Isiah's offense is supposed to look like.

agreed dude... i said the exact same thing a couple days ago... his reactions to the ball are instantaneous & he always seems to know exactly what to do when he gets the ball in his hands... everything this kid does seems instinctual w/him, whereas a guy like Channing looks so deliberate & mechanical... i think he'll be the 1st guy on this team to make the Allstar team.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
