I am wondering why it seems that everyone talks about getting rid of Francis and that Francis is the problem. Am I watching the same games as everyone else? He plays with a lot more passion than Steph and to me has been the superior player so far. Also, you can tell he is not totally comfortable and he is still trying to fit in. You give him full reigns with this team and we'll be running nd gunning all over. I honestly believe the best thing for this team would be for Stevie to be the starting PG for this team and to let him grow!

I have supported Marbury the whole time but we will not win anything with him being the focus of our team! If he can accept being a backup(which I doubt)to Francis playing 20-25min a game great! If not get rid of him.

Once Jeffries gets back and we get our team together here's our lineup!

C Curry
F Frye
F Jeffries
G Q Rich
G Francis

If Curry is sucking you put Lee in quickly and move Frye to Center. But this is the Starting line up! We have so much more length now and Jeffries versatility will prove to be very beneficial.
our team Defense improves dramatically!!

Then we still have our energy guys coming off the bench to provide a spark!

Lee
Nate
Crawford
Balkman

WE NEED TO GIVE THIS TEAM TO FRANCIS AND NOT MARBURY!!!! And we will be heading in the right direction!

In the papers. Everyone of them say that when Jeffries comes back Francis should be out of the rotation. It's ridiculous!

I agree and I like Francis better than Marbury (Not that I really like either of them.) but the reason people have been proposing Francis trades is b/c he is much much easier to trade than Marbury. He's still explosive and can still jump through the roof (Well, kinda) and has shown a semi decent attitude. Plus his contract is smaller in dollar amounts. Meanwhile, it seems like Marbury is about to blow any moment, has clearly lost a step or 2 or 3, has a fatter contract (In dollar amounts) and is showing a bit of an attitude.

I personally don't want either of them. However, I think you can get some value in return for Francis and the best thing to do with Marbury, I think, is to just buy him out. Neither of them have much of a future here, unless you see Isiah in 5 years, which wont happen. He'll be gone by Christmas.

both hans and frans need to get the F outta dodge.

neither have a place here so we must start steps in removing both from the roster.

Agreed fully. Same goes for Curry and Isiah.

I don't know. There's something I like with Francis and Q Rich together. Their Nasty!
I also like Nate with Francis.

We should just let Marbury walk. I really don't think we've seen the best of Stevie and we've already seen what Steph can do and it's not win!

i think Francis needs to go too... i would rather see Nate & Jamal running this team & Mardy as the primary backup PG off the bench.

but if i had to choose between Marbury or Francis, i'd rather take my chances w/Francis... Marbury's just got negativity all about him.

Francis has not gotten a chance to be the man here... let him get that chance... Marbury has had enumerable chances...

I've said this before in game threads many times, but I'll say it again ... It's so stupid that Marbury is getting preference over Francis just because Marbury was her first and MArbury is from new york.

I'll take Francis over Marbury in this type of offense on this team for a few reasons:

Marbury playing in NY is the worst thing possible for a weak minded player like him. I think I remember Kenny Anderson not liking playing in New Jersey because it was too close to home(I think that was one reason he never wanted to play for NY).

Francis is a better rebounder. We need rebounding from everywhere on the court to offset how weak we are in the frontcourt.

I'll trade off the drop in assists from Marbury to Francis because if we run the offense the way Isiah designed it, no one player will end up with an inordinately high number of assists, but will end up with assists because there will be more shot attempts.

I think Francis is the type of guy that historically wanted the ball in the clutch. Marbury's go to move with less than 10 seconds left was pass the ball to Jamal.

Marbury is a half court PG. Francis likes to run(although he will tend to dominate the ball in the half court). He has run since he came into the league. That is the offense we are pushing. Marbury is a purely half court PG whose game revolves around him driving and passing.

Francis is not the injury risk Marbury is becoming.

I think they are very comparable in when it comes to judging who the better player is but I think that Stephon had the potential to be a much better player.

Either way, in this style of ball, Francis probably is the better player, just like how in a half-court based system I would take Stephon over Francis.

In this Boston game it adds weight to the argument for me, cuz with Steph out of there i'm finally seeing the team ball I have been looking for. The Knicks just look better and you know iF I'M SAYING THAT then Steph had better wake up, cuz i've been his biggest supporter.

What are some other horrible contracts we might be able to swap for Marbury? There is got to be something out there! There is no way we'll just buy him out. He needs to be gone!!

I've been saying it for a week. Marbury to Minny for Davis, Griffin and a bad contract.

Frye
Lee
Q
Davis
Francis

Nate, Craw, Curry, Balkman, Jefferies off the bench.

I'm not sure if Ricky Davis would be a good idea. We need to do something like Sac did with Philly in the webber trade. No egos!

Ricky is one of those guys who doesn't see himself as a leader...he used to but I don't think so anymore. I also don't think he sees himself with the same rose colored glasses Marbury looks in the mirror with.

I think Isiah can control bad attitudes, but I think Steph's is so acidic, that it is not going to be neutralized unless you had an uber-strong leader like an Alonzo or Shaquille or Jordan...or a coach like Riley or Jackson.

Well in this Boston game it seems like Steph got in line and came out running the offense and Defense properly. I have no problem with any of our Guards as long as they stick to the System and play TEAM ball.
