During the off-season I asked a few questions to the board and was crucified as a non-fan by the "homers" for simply asking the questions. Now that we are 12 games in it appears that many of my questions were valid concerns that now need to be addressed.

1.) The first question I asked was how were Steph and Stevie going to fit into a motion offense when they have always dominated the ball? I didn't say they couldn't fit I just asked if people felt they could. 12 games in I raise the question again. Will they make the adjustment or is it too late at this point.

2.) What happens when JJ comes back? I originally asked the what if question. What if Nate and Jamal outplay the starting backcourt. Who sits when JJ comes back? And what if the person that sits has a problem sitting? What if ISiah sits someone that is deserving of playing time? How will Isiah juggle egos and team chemistry?

I asked these questions legitimately in the offseason and ask them again now as they become more apparent. I was destroyed during the offseason for being negative for simply asking these questions, but as it becomes apparent that they are very valid questions, I am curious as to what people think. Not just the "haters" that have already chimed in with their answers 1000 times. But I would love to hear from the "homers" who felt that these questions were a waste of time earlier. What do we do? Who sits? What if they become a problem when they sit, how do we handle it? How can we change things in the future so this is not the focus and instead the focus is only on winning?

I was actually considering not putting question marks so that it wouldn't be so noticeable how many questions I actually asked.

Bip, they are excellent questions now and then. First thing is first, while I said all along that I absolutely hated the Jared Jefferies excuse, we still really need him. Secondly, I think the main thing is we HAVE to split up Francis and Marbury, b/c it's not working and it sure doesn't look like it will work. Hence, I think the starting lineup should feature Q at the 2 with Jared at the 3, with of course Lee and Frye starting. Not Curry.

It's not gonna happen though. Isiah has all of his eggs in Franbury and Curry and it seems like he's going to ride and die with them, and as a Knicks imposter, I expect him to die soon. When I mean soon, I mean within' the next month.

Secondly Bip, I just don't see how someone who deserves playing time will get in. Renaldo, for the time being, is screwed, as well as probably Nate Robinson. I just don't see how those guys are going to see daylight, b/c again I say, he's gonna ride and die with the guys who gave up all his eggs for.

So Bip, I think while you're questions are excellent, I think it begs to raise the bigger question, since I feel so strongly that Isiah will be gone by Christmas, how does Herb Williams deal with this roster from January to April?

Herb will have 2 options (depending on Dolans order):
Play players who are showing effort and promise - will be cool to watch
Play 3 month of street ball with Marbs, Steve, and Curry - I will switch to watching only Rangers

It's too late. Those two cannot be on the court at the same time. They are not into the whole 'team' picture on offense, and worse yet, they're our two worst defensive players. At least one needs to go.
2.) What happens when JJ comes back? I originally asked the what if question. What if Nate and Jamal outplay the starting backcourt. Who sits when JJ comes back? This is an excellent question. The correct thing to do would be to keep Marbury and Francis combined for under 30 mpg, since the rest of the backcourt is playing hard. That being said, I'd expect that guys like Balkman, Q, Craw and Nate are the ones that lose minutes, and not Marbury and Francis. Hopefully I'm wrong on this.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

1 - i think i've been saying neither of these guys fit into a team oriented style of game for a while now... particularly Marbury is a bad fit for this run & gun style game... but i don't want to sound like a "hater" so i won't bother saying the Knicks need to get rid of him for the good of the franchise. (whoops, i guess i just did, din't i?)

2 - don't know what Isiah will do, but here's what I would do:

C - Curry / Cato
PF - Frye / Malik
SF - Lee / JJ / Balkman
SG - Q Rich / Francis
PG - Crawford / Nate / Collins
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

1-The answer is either what will he do and what actually has to be done.
I think we know the answer to both.

2-The lineup I would like to see is:

Frye/Curry/Cato
Lee/Malik
JJ/Balkman
Q/Craw
Nate/Collins

I'd like to see Francis moved for Eddie Jones and Marbury moved for a package of Rick Davis and Eddie Griffin. Curry can possibly be moved for a single draft pick to a team like Atlanta that is young and needs a big man(they can put either Zaza or Eddy at the 4 spot and the other at the 5).
