love both of these guys. was randomly curious how they matched up, though. so i looked up the SEC matchups from 2004-2005, because i was bored and i think it will reveal beyond a doubt who will be the better pro.

Lee made a comment in a recent post game interview that he and Balkman almost came to blows a couple of times when they played against each other in college.

Nice good find. Before Jeffries returns from his injury, I think we there should be a stretch of 5 to 6 games where the front court is Frye, Lee and Balkman for atleast 35 minutes a game.

How about Balkman at the 2???

He has a nice handle- certainly better than Francis.

And his 3pters have shown some range & good form.

How about this line up

Frye
Lee
Jeffries
Balkman
Nate

That unit could play some D

Frye, Lee, Balkman, Q, Nate === The garden is sold out regardless the win/lose and team standings.
I dont know about winning but you Dol can make a ton of money on this group...

Balkman gave Florida a TON of trouble in recent years.

I'm not saying I would start that group- just that at some points during the game, I would put that group on the court to slow the other team down.

cool, any way to track the quote or story down?

i definitely like hearing that about those guys. clearly they've gotten over whatever it may have been, but it shows that they're both fiery players (lee shows more emotion on the court than balkman, but i'm not doubting renaldo's desire at all), tough guys who care about their team and teammates.

I understand there is a lot of hate for Francis at this point and in some cases deservidly so, but to say Balkman has a better handle than Francis far from true. Balkman pretty mush dribbles in a straight line. Francis has a great handle, over dribbles a bit too much, but his entire game is based on one on one moves with the ball.
