I love Jeter and he had a great year but he's not more valuable than Morneau. I'm a Yankee season ticket holder... it sucks, would have loved to see Jeets get it but I cant call this unfair

How can somebody vote Jeter 6th? It didn't cost Jeter the award but its an egregious example of the Yankee hate around the country that likely cost Jeter the award.

If Jeter didn't get it, Ortiz or Santana should've won. Morneau was ranked 3rd or 4th on most mocks. He had a great year, but MVP ... he wasn't even the most deserving player on his team (Santana). I disagree with this selection.

What a joke. Jeter deserved it.

i think it coulda gone either way... there were other deserving candidates this year too in Ortiz, Dye & Santana... one could even make the argument that Jeter's not the MVP of his own team in fact if you want to consider how important Mariano Rivera is to the success of the Yankees... but whatever the case, i can't get too upset about him being snubbed... the 6th place thing was a joke though, but that didn't prevent him from winning it.

i don't think ARod shoulda won it last year over Ortiz either, but that also coulda gone either way... plus Jeter won the Gold Glove over a more deserving Alex Gonzalez imo... i didn't hear many of us Yankee fans complaining about that.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Not upset that Morneau won MVP. I think he, Jeter and Ortiz all had great seasons.

but If I had to just pick one out out of the two (Morneau/Jeter...Morneau gets my vote.
