"The tickets from the knicks have not been forthcoming. Three invoices included in a stack of internal Smith Foundation documents obtained by the Connecticut Post indicate Smith purchased tickets through his company, Charles Smith Enterprises, and sold them to the Charles Smith Foundation.
One invoice, dated March of 2006, is for $9,900, and indicates a $4,950 payment had been made, leaving a balance due of $4,950. The invoice states "New York Knicks 2005-2006 Season Tickets, basketball games @ Madison Square Garden."
An identical 2005 invoice said the foundation owed $2,000 for those tickets, and a 2004 invoice sought $1,500 for tickets.
Smith said he purchases the tickets at a special rate only available to former players and is reimbursed by the foundation for his costs.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
