Take away the Knicks' 4 wins and they're 0-7. Deep huh.

Anyway, I wouldn't take too much from the raw +/-. Raw +/- stats are notoriously noisy and subject to various kind of confounds that make it difficult to conclude much from the numbers.

The sample size is way too small to have meaning.

I think something that is more telling is the individual numbers.

Look at the bench guys (on/off court):
Balkman +6.8
Lee +3.1
Nate + 11.5
Malik +14.5

Of all the starters only Francis has positive numbers
Frye is the worst with a -16.1

Malik's got too small a sample size, but all the others make a lot of sense. Last year Malik was -7.7 and he's not a different player this year.
