Outgoing

Michael Ruffin
6-8 PF from Tulsa
1.4 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.4 apg in 13.3 minutes

Jarvis Hayes
6-8 SF from Georgia
9.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.3 apg in 24.6 minutes

Incoming

Jerome James
7-1 C from Florida A&M
3.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.3 apg in 9.0 minutes

They could use another center because they need to rule that position by committee.

Jarvis is a SG/SF(more of a SG) who I view as a Caron Butler-light type of player. Makes it easier to flip Jamal and possibly Curry. Both Jarvis and Ruffin are FA's at the end of the year, and Ruffin is a rugged defensive rebounding presence off the bench.

washington is conserving future cap to re-sign arenas without going in luxury tax land. that's why they didn't match on jeffries.

good point. Mo Taylor would have matched up with a Hayes and Etan Thomas trade if we didn't buy him out.

why do they need another C when they have Haywood & Etan literally fighting over minutes as it is? much less Big Turd of all people who's signed longterm?

Actually my reasoning is they don't have one real good center, so they just stockpile bodies to play the position...sort of like we do with PG's and PF's...j/k..
