What was Isiah thinking with 2 minutes to go in a game down by only 6 points?

I do not believe in pointing fingers and I wont now but I do think the most ridiculous thing of last night was for our coach to pick up 2 tech fouls resulting in 2 points when we were down only 6 points with two minutes to go. I cant remember a Knick coach throwing away 2 points like that so late in a tight ball game.

Great to see Patrick get that standing ovation in the 4th qtr. I bet Isiah loved that, lol. NOT!:)

I think Isiah is totally afraid of Patrick because he would be loved by the crowd and Isiah is not. Patrick has said for years he wants to come coach here and Isiah refuses to hire him
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I'm sure he wasn't trying to get two technicals, who does? I'm sure he just had enough and got frustrated at the ridiculous amount of fouls being called all game

With 2 minutes left its bad to get 1 but basically inexcysable to get 2.

I think he was upset at the overall number of fouls called, and how some were quite slight, including the play before he was ejected. Earlier in the game you can understand why he might do that but I think it was definitely a poor decision to get two techs at that juncture of the game.

At that point of the game I had already been issued 2 techs and been banished to the basement with my nasty potty mouth.

I understand where isiah was coming from. Isiah almost cursed out the reporters in the post game. Isiah was still lit up.

IT saw that we are finished and wanted to avoid witnesing the agony.
It's understandable...
As I sad on other thread it can be pretty much the scenario for the season...

2:15 down 6 is a very managable score. Throwing away 2 points wasnt smart or fair to the players

There's no justification for what he did. What message does/did it send to the team?

Hey he made a mistake! The guy just wasn't thinking clearly and who knows what the ref did or said that set him off. It's really a bit crazy the way Stern has set things with these refs. Now they have too much influence on the games. i don't like that they give out so many techs and are making way too many calls. It's messing with the flow of the games. If no clear advantage is gained they need to let a lot of stuff go. Heck back in the day there was a LOT more contact and grabbing and holding, now it's just ridiculous how in a game with so many amazing and fast athletes that we allow so little contact.

In this game there were a near record amount of fouls called and that tells you that Isiah wasn't really off base. He just chose a poor time to express his frustration. That's one loss on him, but he's no different than many coaches who make bad decisions in some games and practically help their teams lose.

He did it because he's a stupid egomaniacal jackass.

It was a dumb move by Isiah. But the game was over, so it really did not cost them anything.

Could the Knicks come back? Theoretically yes. Was it going to happen? No.

there was 2:14 left in the game and we had the ball, down 6, when the tech's were called.

Have to disagree. First, this didn't seem like a game the Knicks would win to me. They expanded so much energy coming back and not one single guy took over, it was a definate team effort, but that can be a bad thing because the whole team is working hard doing the little things to come back instead of one guy really doing his thing(I know it's a messed up logic, but hey, that's what I think)..anyway, back to what you said.

Did Isiah cost them the game, probably not, but he did seriously handicap the team by making it's best coach unavailable and by giving up the free points. Also, I understand the game was ugly, but the game was ugly on both sides. It wasn't like it was blatently pro-Boston.

I would if Andrew and Martin didn't have those stupid code of conduct rules.
