I was watching a special with Red auerbach and kevin mchale talking about that the 1st thing that you think about when a shot goes up "is boxing out your defender". Watching the game , you watch curry and the shot goes up and hes watching the ball. I know hes been in the league 6 yrs and he should know this but it seems this is something that if you really stress he will learn it. I think if he could it would make such a big difference in his game. His offense is fine, man -man defense is adequate but his rebounding sucks. If he can at least box out his man he would get more rebounds, his man would get less and it opens up area for your other players get the rebound. If somehow he can learn this it really would give this team a tremendous boost.

He's not the smartest player on the team. In some ways, I think he'll always play like a rookie.

None of these guys box out except Malik...How did they get this far without laying a body on someone...Oak use to grab rebounds without jumping...

Jerome James of all people boxes out. So does Q.

Its an effort thing. Boxing out is not complicated. Just get your body between your guy and the basket and trust in your guys enough to keep the boxout even when the ball is not bouncing your way.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

everyone has a reason why Curry is not great, i.e. his conditioning, hes too dumb, slow, whatever....One glaring problem that that jumps out to me is his hands. He really has one of the worst hands i have ever seen. He cant hold the ball at all and I believe this is the MAIN reason why he hasnt taken the next step and prob never will. Next time you all watch him play try to really pay attention to how many times he cant put his hands on the ball.

He actually has great hands. That's one of the good things about him.

Its not his hands....its the fact that he brings the ball down low whenever he catches it, allowing players to strip him....another fundamental part of basketball he never learned.

The Knicks need to bring in Patrick to work with him. Agguire and Herb are jokes. Kareem has done wonders with the tall kids out here.

Way off base. Good hands for a big man is one of the good qualities he has.
The other complaints are accurate though

lol...i guess were not watching the same guy. He has a good touch around the basket, but he has trouble holding onto the ball...look at how many times he gets his hands on the ball for a rebound and never comes down with it, look how many times he fumbles passes that are thrown to him. This guy does not have a good hands, I dont even think he can palm the ball. Try and look out for it tonight.

I agree with Andrew and Panos. He has very good hands, especially on offense. He can catch fast passes, even if they're slightly off line.

BIG MANS COACH!
Get Curry and Frye working with a big mans coach 2 hours a day for 30 days and you will see 2 dramatically improved players. They are both doing things on raw talent. All they need is that extra 10% of polish and confidence and they will be there
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

My God in Heaven, how maddening it was to see Eddy just stand there, not box out. Even Wally f'n Szczerbiak got one over him.

Add me to the list that think Aguirre just ain't cutting it.

again tonight after every shot goes up curry is watching the ball instead of boxing out the closest defender. this needs to be ingrained in him like pavlov's dog.

He has good hands.
His problems are with the head.
The fat it taking more and more space of the brain and this affecting his concentration and ability to learn.
Pavlov's dog was learned by taking his food out of him.
We heed to ask JJ to hold a big burger high and give it to Eddy only if he will box out.
But this will not work because JJ will eat it before Curry will get close...
Yehhh...

seriously, how can you blame Aguire? Don't you think every coach Curry has EVER had has told him to box out? Dude, just doesn't have the mental capacity.
