guys this is the best i have felt about the knicks in a couple of years. Even when the loose they are fighting. Once they jell over the next month or so and the 2 JJs get healthy this is a playoff tea. HOW COME LARRY COULDNT DO THIS?

People said we were crazy to think this team was capable of jelling and playing as a team. The early losses seemed to bolster their feelings as many fans practically jumped ship already. WELL, it's still early and the team has a long way to go, but maybe now more fans will come around to our way of thinking about this team.

It's not a bad team and they can play together and improve. I really hope this team can continue to play well thru the rest of Nov., cuz they have a favorable Dec. schedule with lost of home games. That could be a big plus if we get on a roll now.

I need to see a lot more, but there are encouraging signs. It just shows how starved we are for a reason to care.

It's true. We're looking good the past 2 games but it's only 2 games. And Miami has sucked this year. These past 2 games don't mean we're going to have a great season any more than the first few games meant that the season was over.

And what did Larry do? He took DLee out of the starting rotation and sat Nate Rob. The team started feeling good about themselves and Larry couldn't have that...

That's true, but in fairness, Marbury also got hurt.

It's the progress that you guys seem to be missing. I know how hard it is to just let go and believe that this team is capable of playing good ball, but they ARE! They have been gradually getting their game together from the start. They've shown a lot of fight and now they are actually winning games. That's a good step. Don't forget how tough our opening schedule has been. We've been playing some of the best teams so far and the rest of Nov. is still tough.

By the way LB had VERY LITTLE to do with the streak. He wasn't really happy that they were winning by not playing his style so much as Steph's style of ball. So let's not try to make it seem like what we're seeing now is similar to that streak, which so many view as a fluke. This has been a progressive improvement over the start of the season and it's sustainable. Last year it was a SHOCK that the team just started playing better. Last year it was also mostly offensive in nature whereas this year it's better all around play. Sure we caught two teams not playing at their best, but that's part of it. Last year we couldn't even win those games. So let's give them credit.

There can't be a letdown tomorrow night. Winning back to back games would go a long way in winning over the MSG faithful.

Actually, yes. He sat DLee for almost the rest of the season and Nate Rob had his minutes diminished also. That's fact. Nothing to do with Marbury's shoulder. What did Marbury's injury have to do with DLee not getting anymore starts?

Let's not rehash last year's run, let's hope this year's is more than a streak, but a way of playing.

Guys, come on.

We just owned the defending champions, and you want to talk about Larry Brown?

As I recall you were pretty jazzed and were proclaiming that LB was making it happen, and you were all over me for saying that he wasn't handling the team correctly until he started letting them play uptempo.

Fishmike to oohah: "Your opinion is getting more dodgy with every win"

But I won't rub it in.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

go right ahead. Its usually the only time you show up, but thats cool.

Your 100% right

jazzed indeed. But as I have said before if that team's success continued it would have followed the pattern of every other Larry Brown coached team. They eventually win. This group has no such history to fall back on.

I was VERY happy for this win, because I thought the Knicks played harder tonight than any other game. That includes the Wiz game where I think it was more about the Wiz having a bad shooting night than the Knicks playing great.

If this team starts winning, it will nothing to do with LB. The philosophy is totally different than what LB had here. What was LB's philosophy anyway? Starting Mo Taylor and Malik Rose when Frye and DLee was clearly better? It's amazing to me how you're reaching to give LB props after only winning 23 games last year. Whether this team succeeds or fails, LB will have nothing to do with it...

Yeah, I rarely show up. I'll put that statement in the "Rodman wasn't a great man-to-man defensive" player category.

History, Shmistory. We saw what was happening. LB loathed the players and wanted half of them traded. He refused to play them in a manner that fit their abilities. It was not going to happen with this group of players and LB, and dumping them all would have had us as bad or worse than last year with the crap we would have had to take back.

I think the words you are looking are "I was wrong.".

Not just harder, BETTER. Proper use of personnel. How you like that Q under Isiah?
