If you guys could pay these guys how much are they worth?

Rules? You don't have be under the cap or keep the same knick payroll. Just give a fair market salary and see what you get.

You'd be the only GM in basketball who would give Marbury 10M after last season and they way he looks this season.

Id give marbury ten million... the guys is still the best player on the team and scores at a highlevel.... I don't hate him either, so my judgement might be clouded. 8 to 10 million is about right.

see, and that's what is wrong with Marbury. To be good, he needs to score, and he can only really score with the ball in his hands. Even a big fan of his, like you, inadvertantly or not, don't think he is a team guy/PG.

Im not big fan of his, but I don't hate him. I thought the thread was not if you would want him or not or if he is a team guy/PG, but what are the players worth. If guys like Terry and Andre Miller get 10 million dollar deals on average, then that is what players like marbury and frncis should get. They are in that class of point guards not the 16-20 million like Jkidd or Paul when he gets off his rookie contract.

82games.com actually has a stat called a "Fair Salary".

http://www.82games.com/0506/0506NYK.HTM

Since this season just started, it's not quite time to rate it but here was last year's. The "fair salary" is the first dollar figure, the acutal one is the second. Obviously in the millions:

Crawford $ 5.76 $6.5
Frye $ 5.36 $2.2
Marbury $ 5.10 $16.5
Robinson $ 3.52 $1.1
Butler $ 3.27 $0.6
Curry $ 2.48 $7.4
Lee $ 2.04 $0.9
Woods $ 1.80 $0.6
Ariza $ 1.34 $0.6
Taylor $ 1.04 $9.1
J.Rose $ 0.87 $15.7
Richardson $ 0.43 $6.9
M.Rose $ 0.33 $6.0
Davis $ 0.23 $13.9
Francis $ 0.19 $13.7
Hardaway $ 0.16 $15.8
James $ 0.12 $5.0
Udoka $ 0.10 $0.1
Barnes $ 0.03 $0.1
-- the preceding post was brought to you by the letter K and the number 22.

i like that list, only i'd cut Marbs, Francis & Turd & divy up the $14.5m between Lee, Nate & Q... they've earned it.

Can you name me a player who scores without the ball in his hands?

When Cliche's go wrong.

HAHA, I was thinking the same thing. It's really hard to say for sure why Marbury has not done well, lately but I suspect it is likely to be a multitude of issues rather than one thing or another.

Technically, the ball could bounce off his head for a basket.
