if we don't even have room for marcus williams on this team do we really have room for Ariza?

Who should he be playing over: Q, Lee, Balkman or Jeffries?

How many times did he dribble the ball off his foot?

I don't know, but he did have 5 fouls and 3 TOs to go with his 3 steals.

I wonder if Isiah would have drafted Williams if Larry hadn't forced the Francis trade on him.

Yes, along with Ratliff, Snow, Lynch and every other over the hill or bad kneed player in the league. At least that's how many of you presented it.

it's a pretty fair bet Larry would have gone after Kmart if he'd been granted all the emperor's powers.

I don't get it. If the only reason we got Francis and Rose were because Larry's will trumped isiah's, how is it we don't have K-Mart if that's who he really wanted?

K-mart wasn't available unless we were to give up Frye, Lee, or something like that.

So Isiah did have final say over trades and could say "no" to Larry?

Interesting. Well maybe not that interesting since that's how it works with every other professional sports team on the planet. The coach can make suggestions but ultimately the responsibility for making trades falls on the GM.

that's pure speculation, and with his health, contract and the relationship between Mart and Karl I kinda doubt it.

But I agree with you that we could have done a lot better than Rose and Francis had Isiah been willing to give up more than Ariza and expirings.

And let us rememeber that even this summer, with Larry GONE, ISIAH was rumored to be pursuing Webber and K-Mart. So if we want to base this all on reported rumors, as we seem to do, we see that reports of pursuing bad-kneed PFs follow Isiah more than Brown.

It is speculation, but it makes sense Martin's because value did not start dropping like crazy until around or after the all-star break if my memory serves correctly. I am not sure that Martin's relationship with Karl was publicly known at that time. Denver wasn't going to give Martin up for chump change at that point.

By the way, screw Kenyon Martin, he is one of my least favorite players.

He was a good pick where we got him. He'll probably make a career as a guy who stays on someone's roster, but doesn't make the rotation.

If they were both making the same salary, who would you rather have: Francis or Ariza?
