I bleed orange and blue, but the Eisley-E House matchup just doesn't get the blood flowing. This rivalry is just not the same without Ewing and Mourning beating each other up.

True. But I think these Knicks are hungry & gonna beat up on a weak Miami team.

I dont care about the rivalry. the best thing for the Knicks right now is to lose this game and start a momentum losing streak to really break morale. IMHO we need to be in position 4 in the draft for many reasons and I think that is more important that going for a couple of more ws. This is a bad team that will lose almost every time to a team with bigger players. al this crp about dice coming back this year is hyperbole to get u to buy tickets. what this team needs is to either have a legit shot at winning the lottery OR be in position 4 and attempt to secure a second high pick and go after chris bosh and emeka okafor. We need legitimate size talent defense shot blocking rebounding and both players poccess these specialty skills to bring to our club. I think with the massive injuries and lose of dollars$ the Knicks and rangers have endured by trading for injured exepnsive players has been the wrong philosophy and im willing to bet they are starting to come to their senses. They need to try to sell something different to the fans because no one is buying this sht and NO one will be fooled into -well get dice back and well be ok crp. We need to address the frontcourt problem--BELIEVE me look at the amateur players in the country-there is very little in terms of highly talented big players. We NEED to attempt to start stockpiling talent in the frontcourt.

You got a right to your opinion but I can't get behind rooting against the home team. And this team will be better with Dice, no doubt about it. Besides, it's a new system with Coach Chaney. No more of this Jeff Van BeGonedy "dump the ball to Houston or Spree while the other guys stand around" isolation stuff.

Briggs, you're right about everything except this:
im willing to bet they are starting to come to their senses

I wouldn't put your money down, because I don't think they are. I think Dolan and his girlfriend Scottina have one more last-ditch-let's-make-the-playoffs-this-year trade left in them before Feb. deadline.

I don't think these guys will realize how bad it is until the team is out of the playoffs again. They will try to get good enough to crack the 8th seed, because the money they'd make with just one playoff game would be worth it in Dolan's eyes. Of course, they won't make the playoffs at all and they won't get better than 6th seed.

I hope I'm wrong about it, but that's my early prediction.

Oh, and everyone should read the NY Times article about Donnie Walsh. The way he's changed the Pacers is brilliant. He's dumped the old, replaced with them with young, but experienced, guys, got damn lucky with a 27th pick, and turned the team around quickly. No rebuilding like the disaster in Chicago. Pretty impressive.

The team that finished with the worst record hasnt gotten the number one overall pick in quite some time. I say out of pure Blue and Orange pride= WIN WIN WIN. If we have a creative enough GM we can rebuild and retool without trying to lose as many games as possible.

A Micheal Doleac sighting! Doleac running the floor and finishing a nice pass from Ward. Knicks lead 33-30 2nd quarter.

Nearly Classic Knicks-Heat, complete with a "controversial call". Looks to me like the players and Coach Riles cared about this game!

Great game! Clutch 3 pointer and free throws by Ward. Season high 30 points for Spree. Riles looked devestated after this loss!

Just like the good old days! Charlie Ward hitting the dagger three. Miami crying about the refs. Some things just never change!

Did anyone listen to Pat Riley cry again during the post game conference? It must be in your nature to be a sissy if you're with the Miami Heat. From the coach to the players to the fans. They are all a bunch of crybabies!

I HATE THE HEAT!

http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/27151.htm

"The officials' hate for me is absolutely unjust to what it's doing to my players," Riley said after the Knicks' 97-72 victory, their second straight.

Riley claimed "it all started last year," when top referee Steve Javie told him after a game in Cleveland, "to his absolute delight, as we were getting beat and going through a real tough time, he came to my face after we were having a discussion and said, ‘It's giving us [referees] absolute delight to watch you and your team die."

You will see Pat Riley's nose grow bigger and bigger. Yo Pat, EVERYONE is delighted watching you and your team die! Holy crap, what a crybaby!

If Javie said that he'd be fired, which is why I really doubt he did say that.

Too bad for Riley, he sholdn't have left NY, or LA. Ha, what a bum.
