Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Golden State being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Golden State had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I'd have to pass on this trade. Murphy's soft and plays no D. He's like the 20/10 player Charles Smith was on the Clippers only with less scoring. And Foyle's expensive garbage. And I'd rather have Frye than Pietrus.

Pietrus is young plays defense and can shoot the 3 ball and foyle will defend the goal better than curry Jerome james or Cato.

Murphy gives us rebounds and points that frye can't on a consistent basis.

MURPHY IS A EAST COAST GUY as is Foyle Pietrus has great upside with limitless athletisism.

Pietrus is shooting 54% from the field 52% from 3pt and avg11.5 pts 5.3reb 1.5 asst.

Murphy 12.7 pts 5.4 reb 2.6 asst shooting 48% fg 37 % from 3pt

Foyle at 6'10 270 Don Nelson doesn't like him at all but he could easily anchor our front line with playing time.

Frye is soft and doesn't play defense , crawford is unbridled plays no defense and shoots too much with out LB coaching him and Q is the only one that's worth anything.

We have to get rid of some guards(Q+jamal) that's tradeable for young players with upside(pietrus).

Murphy just need a change of scenary

Murphy grabs boards and hits jumpers, he's like a better beefed up and much more expensive Frye.

Pietrus is a nice young guy I've wanted for our team for a while.

Foil is, well he's tin foil. So we have Jerome Cato Curry and Foyle? Thats like almost 30 million on centers each year. no thanks.

The knicks of course, we have to change our guard positions and get a pf who can reb in here .

Pietrus will help us forget Q and foyle is there just to make the trade work.

The knicks don't have to many tradeable pieces this is why I used these players.

If you were going to let go of Craw, Frye and Q in one shot, I would think you could do better than that package in return. I respect trying to fill specific needs, but it's too much talent out the window and Foyle in particular kills it for me.

yea- like that kind of deal should enable us to trade franbury for an ending contract.

they're talking about buying foyle out.

Nelson doesn't like Foyle because all he wants to do with GS is run run run, that's telling me he still hasn't learned anything about half court defense.

Didn't Avery Johnson show him anything by making it to the finals with defense?

Foyle is Big Turd part deux... why would anyone possibly want to trade for the guy?

as for Pietrus, Q Rich is a better player... he also plays defense & shoots the 3 btw, not to mention his post up scoring skills are much better as well... why give GS the better player?

Troy Murphy is a nice player, but i don't trade Crawford & Frye to get him either.

Q is 26. He's a good player who has the ability to be a leader of this team. He's the guy we should keep.

My point is if you are gonna change the culture of the knicks you have to get rid of some of the problems, but at the same time you might have to give up something of value because of the knicks past ego driven humungous contracts given to avg players.

Nobody here can come up with a trade that another team will accept that doesn't demand some our better players.

Standing pat is not gonna do it, some of the fans know the Knicks have to blow everything up and start over.

I also think Dolan takes too much unnecessary heat, the only bad decision he's made is hiring Isiah Thomas.

He doesn't make any personel decisions, he hires people to make those decisions, he just signs the checks.

We need to get rid of some soft players period.

this trade makes no sense because we would still have Marbury, Steve, and Curry on our team

seriously, the problem w/this team is not Q Rich... it's that we have underachieving overpaid, no defense playing primadonna's like Marbury & Francis clogging up minutes & stagnating the offensive flow of every game.
