they are very similar... I see Frye developing into a david west type of player if everything goes properly... Definately more David West than he is Rasheed or Duncan

David West was dominating rebounder in CBB. Frye never was. In fact Frye wasnt even a dominating player in CBB in any facet of the game. He was never even the best player on his team. He was regarded as a fundamentally sound center in a division where the next best center was Ike Diogu. At the start of his senior year Frye was regarded as a bubble first rounder. A guy that maybe with a great Chicago camp could play himself into the 20s and get a guarenteed deal. Anyone remember this?

What happened next was Frye had a terrific NCAA tourney, the Knicks traded their only frontcourt player and the rest is history. Frye has always been a skilled bigman. He's never been a dominating player in any facet of the game since he was in high school.

so your telling me that because in college West averaged more boards than Frye im way off? - West hits a lot of jumpers, shoots the ball well.. and is a DECENT rebounder (7.5rpg... definately not "dominant") I could see Frye becoming that kind of player... Im not saying they are the same now.. im saying thats they type of player Frye will probobly develop into... all this "you have no clue" **** is really a little overly influenced by Channings early season slump... Lets give hima bit of a break

West is a good NBA rebounder. I said dominant at the college level. My point was that West was dominating college player that seems to have found his game at this level. Frye didnt play at the same level West did.

All I'm saying is West dominated at Xavier. He was a monster on the glass and a 20 point scorer. Frye was a 12/7 player in 4 years of CBB. West was a 20/10 for every year but his freshman.
