Ive seen every Laker game and he has *it*. I say this because there is another way to improve the team. Like Fishmike said on another post, and I agree with 100%, we need to identify under utilyzed talents not getting PT

Guys Like Turriaf Green or Rondo from the Celtics Ike Diougu etc....

briggs, you have got to learn to make your thread titles shorter!!!

turiaf is playing hard. rondo...these guys are players in the 20-30 pick range, some of them 2nd rounders.

all we had to do was purchase picks. that's it. hopefully the next gm understand that.

Can we send Jamal to LA for Turriaf Mihm and a 2007 #1 restricted?
Can we send Frye to Boston for Rondo? Or to GS for Diogu?
Can we send Curry To Minnesota for Foye Blount[need to take back salary obviously] etc....................................

Ronnie turriaf is a true beast. Its not like he wasntin college.

Isiah has to definately search the league for those fire flies.

I think the lakers are one of those teams that can seriously help the knicks big time with a huge trade. Lakers need a guy like Francis or craw. Either player would look great playing with Phil and kobe.

Luke Walton, turriaf, smush, etc, just look at their roster. Tons of talent. Lots of east coast talent. Knicks should come knocking on la Las door.

i actually had a problem w/zeke picking lee over ronnie in the draft, but it definetely turned out to our advantage. sorry zeke. now i have to take this time to give ronnie his props on coming back from OPEN HEART surgery and play like a man.

Turiaf is the black version of David Lee and maybe better.

I've been watching a lot of the Celts since I go to college in MA. Rondo looks very impressive. Talk about basketball IQ, this kid is the complete opposite of Marbury. He knows how to play the game.
"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

if we can exchange some of our sht for 3-4 tough athletic skill players who have shown nice glimpses yet have not been used + a couple of picks---kind of like what happened with jermaine oneal--well that avenue----its a nice place to ATTEMPT to improve the team. I let Collins an Balkman play along with 3-4 new guys +Lee Nate Q

trade bait
JC
Frye
Curry
get rid of francis and marbury by negotiating with teams who still have MLE--like Miami who might like to use MLE for 4 years on SM and SM gets out of here with 20mm and free pass--do same thing with francis with another team.

I liked Turiaf last year when he played- and I have like Luke Walton since he game into the league.

And speaking of unsung players- I also love Gerald Wilkins' son, Damien on Seattle.

But the problem with trading for players like this is most teams like having cheap, solid role players.

I really like BRIGGS, he's always among the first to recognize the latent of French players... Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, now Turiaf :)

And we have many more coming such as Noah, Gelabale...

Ellis in golden sate is a player, he was a second round pick as well, much cheaper alternative than giving out a long term deal
