Here's My List:


"Only for an All-Star":

David Lee
Nate Robinson

Our big energy guys. Both on rookie contracts.


"Only for Player of Equal Talent"

Quentin Richardson
Jamal Crawford
Channing Frye
Renaldo Balkman
Malik Rose


Q and Jamal are probably our most valuable players. But they have big longterm contracts, and therefore most teams wouldn't give up an All-Star for them (most do it for cap space and phenoms). Frye is a talented big but has a lot of holes in his game, and Balkman is a cheap multitasker on the court.

Rose statistically gives us nothing, but he's one of the few real winners on the bench, and is a leader and solid influence.

Stephon Marbury
Steve Francis
Eddy Curry

Self-explanatory.

Jerome James
Isiah Thomas

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I see Lee as an 11/11 sophomore if he were to start. I wouldn't trade him for simply an above average starter. Who are some non-all-stars you'd trade him for? I'd trade him for a "near all-star" like Joe Johnson.

huh? Who said they would? We're just listing players WE would be willing to trade the guys for. Now, you thought my and bobs' placement of Lee was crazy enough to LOL. So what non-all-stars would YOU trade David Lee for? You must have at least 30 if it made you LOL

guys, why craw? Every third or forth game he gives the Knicks something but for two to three games in a row he does nothing on D and is 5-17.

I never said I wanted to trade him dude, and I have no desire to look around the league and decide who I want to trade David Lee for, but I'm pretty sure that NBA teams aren't willing to trade their true all stars or "Near All Stars" for David Lee straight up. But again, I'm not even looking to trade him as he's one of the few guys on the team who's actually doing a good job. Him, Q, Nate and Balkman. Amazing that it comes to a point for your team that your role players are the "Untouchables."

The spirit of the thread was discussing what you'd be willing to trade our players for. It sounds like you don't want to engage in that discussion but just want to criticize others who do.

JJ a near all-star he is one of the 12 best players in the entire league......

You can't trade Nate and Lee at this point everyone else is expendable, I would keep Balkman and Q as well, but if the right deal came along you need to look at it....

If Isiah didn't make the Francis deal, sign Jerome James I wouldn't be as harsh on him, but those two were just terrible last year.....

Imagine what a good team we would be without those two moves, we wouldn't have to keep messing around with rotations which are going to get especially tricky when JJ2 returns

we only have 3 untouchables at this point as far as i'm concerned:

Lee
Q Rich
Curry (we have to be more patient before we give up on him)


Nate has shown great improvement & i would love to keep him, but if he has to go in a trade to improve this team, i'm doing it... i would also like to hold onto Jamal too since he's our only clutch shooter, but if i have to trade him to get a star player, i am open to it as well.

Balkman, Collins, Cato & Rose are good role players to hold onto, but certainly not untouchables.

Marbury, Francis & Big Turd MUST go.

Frye i would use to unload 1 of the above since he still retains some sort of trade value.

Jefferies hasn't shown anything so i can't comment on him at this point.
