I think Stephon needs to drive to the basket early in the game... Start getting to the line EARLY and drawing doubles so he can kick it to the open guys.

We need some sort of plan for the first 5 minutes of games cuz thats what keeps killin us

You get your scorers off early by getting them some easy shots off of designed plays. You definitely have to get Marbury the ball in some kind of easy layup opportunity. In addition, you should also get Eddie Curry some kind of alley-oop dunk to start him off with confidence. You may even want to get one of the guys you have, that are slumping, a couple of easy ones early. The first name that comes to mind is Channing. Get a pick and roll going, or make them switch or something so that he is posted up on a smaller guy and get him going.

Curry. Marbury can pick his own spots, Curry cannot. Curry has got to be fed early. And Frye. If they can get going early, it changes the way we can play the game. You dont' have to get Marbury going, you just have to tell him when to go.

I was going down a similar direction but then I thought about Marbury's 2-11 nights. I think you have to get him some easy layups early so he gets some confidence on his outside jumpers. If not him then definitely the two-guard.

game plan EVERY GAME should be to get the ball to curry and frye and work it inside out. that's it. anything else is pointless with this roster.

What a question: who to go to early ... I'm afraid there isn't a good answer to that one.

Go to the open man. Ofcourse guards can always get their shots. The ball is in their hands on the outside. Bigs dont have that luxery. Also long misses lead to fast breaks. We need to keep that in mind with our chuckers.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg
