any chance we could lighten up on the liberal use of the term cancer?

maybe the mods can ****** it out?

Is this the new term the kids are using these days?

everytime I see it I cringe (which most likely is the desired effect).

But to see things like "this offense is a cancer" and "the new ball is a cancer" is just a little crazy.

It does go with the fire in the theatre mentality of bulletin boards, but just wondering.

Thoughts?

Why not to have like "this offence is a stroke" or "this new ball is a hart failure" or "Marbary is anthrax"?

its funny... having been the one to go through it I never get bothered by those references. My family? Different story... they all get really bothered by it.

I've been through it too and it doesn't really bother me either.

It's an unfortunate usage of the term, but it is very descriptive of what players like Marbury are reputed to do to a locker room.

I like the headline from last year: "Steph Infection"
