7.7 points 4.8 reb on 40% shooting
this years first 7 games
3.4 points 4.1 reb 22%

not including preseaspn and another HUGE pacth of games that I discounted after Jan 6, you are not talking about a slump. I really think he may be better fitted with another team since we have curry. if you look @ his numbers once curry started playing more last year--he went right down the tubes. Now does this organization sit on this or do they take value and find someone who will fit in like a Ike Diogu?

His best game last season was probably the game he got injured. Other than that, he definitely was starting to hit a wall starting at like February. Again, I'm sure he'll start performing much better, however, how long can this last if all he does is sit on the perimeter on offense and play bad defense and not rebound much?

When Frye started playing, he had room to take his jump shot and hit it. Then other teams started guarding him tight and his numbers went down.

I've seen this phenomenon before. David Duval was suppossed to be the next big golfer to challenge woods but something went wrong in his head and he's just average now. I saw him play live and there's nothing wrong with his game, it's just something in his head that messed up. He's seen a bucketful of sports psychologists all to no avail. He's tried vusualization techniques just like Frye.

Hopefully Frye breaks out of his mental slump.

There is still a good market for Frye and it might be GOOD for Frye to move to another system and city. Not everyone is made for NYC and he seems to be the case. I hope that they dont let past pronostications influence clear thought process. Move Frye west.

Are any of these players made for NYC? I wonder.

11 games is not that huge a sample. You guys are making it sound like he's had several consecutive bad YEARS!

What I find amusing is that Nalod, Crzy, Fishmike, and others are apparently taking more pleasure from my being wrong that Frye will break out than if he had actually broken out and played well.

Hey guys step up and say something why don't you!? Probably afraid that someone will do what you are doing...

Whatever gets you though the day I guess...

Doesn't faze me at all.

i think you're being paranoid.

you make a bold statement like "frye will threaten to make the all star team" - then you're gonna hear it, regardless of who the player is. and i think these guys are just making jokes about it.

I'm prepared to hear it. And I know they are joking, but not as nicely as you are making it out to be.

Like I said before, there is a dividing line between those of us who will make bold statements, unafraid to be wrong and those who will constantly "joke" about whose who do when they are wrong, while never making bold statements themselves.

I prefer to be on the bold side.

By the way, I am a long way from giving up on Frye, unlike the rest of you Ewing-Booers!

I think Frye definitely has the disposition to be a big-time player in NY. i remember last year, the things he said - wanting the pressure. Feeding off things that people said he did wrong. When he was blocked by Mourning last year trying to dunk, he said "I'd try it 1,000 times again."

Frye can play in NY. His attitude is not soft. He's just extremely, extremely confused right now. I'm sure he's at a loss as to what's going on. These things can snowball. The more he questions himself, the more he becomes insecure.

However, I've seen him still demand the ball and still try and take shots, and make moves. Granted, they've been awful, and he's been terrible to watch, but I'd rather see that, then someone who just gives in. I'm glad his attitude is still there. His game just has to follow now.

Channing Frye is still recovering from the awful trauma of last year, when Larry Brown tried to destroy his confidence. In fact, I'm not sure, but I think Larry might have stolen his joy.

Frye continues to need nurturing and support. I'm sure a few years of intensive psychotherapy will bring him back to his old pre-LB self.

yeah, LB is the culprit--stopped channing from training to improve this summer through subliminal messages.

Please, I have said before and I wills say again, this team is bad and it will suck.

How much more clear does it get? It is not very bold because this is obvious to anybody with half a brain, but never the less, it is a stand.

Why don't you go find another article about how LB is a bad bad man to make you feel better about this season.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
