WHO?!?!

Elite just posted in another thread that the knicks needed a power fwd that can block shots. For who?

I'm not calling you out elite. I'm calling everyone out. I want to know who everyone wants to trade based on THIS SEASON and who can we realistically get to improve this team.

DJ is ready to cripple me for mentioning the guy I want and that's zach Randolph. I think he is the best player the knicks can get that their team probably would give away cuz they are in rebuild mode. Malik and frye can get it done.

Who else? Don't say dalembert cuz Philly is not letting him go. That team needs a shot blocker more than the knicks.

good post. I think shotblocker may be too specific. Defensive minded rebounder would do nicely. Camby and Oakman of old would do nicely.

Zach in my mind is a guy who needs the ball in the post to be effective, same as Curry, only Zach is more effective. They are duplicates.

Yeah that was very strange. Joe smith got run though.

I like Reggie Evans a lot and would like to get him also but what can get that done? Knicks need Q right now and craw just proved why we need him around. Other than those two I don't know how we can Evans.

reggie evans is gonna get traded at the deadline or before (december 15th).

rumor around town is that it's for the trade exception from minny.

Etan Thomas would be the guy i target right now... he can block shots, he's a rugged PF/C that plays w/aggression, & he's a Harlem native... i think he'd be a perfect fit for our needs right now... plus he's been in some scuffles w/his teammates in WAS, so maybe they're looking to deal him?

i'd offer up Malik's shorter length contract for Etan straight up & see if they bite... if cap space is not their concern, then i offer up Big Turd who has the same exact contract pretty much as ET does, & throw in CHI's 1st rounder post swap... i know Etan's not really worth a 1st rd pick, but to get rid of Big Turd, i do it.

C - Curry / Frye / Cato
PF - Etan / Lee
SF - Q Rich / Balkman
SG - Crawford / Collins
PG - Marbury / Nate
IA - Jefferies / Francis

Zach? no chance w/o Jalen's expiring contract, so forget that... unless of course, you're willing to give up Lee & some other good young talent in a package involving 1 of our max players, which i'm not doing.

Etan is not exactly an Allstar we're talking about... i think u can get him if you want.

Look at what malik brings when he is in. The guy gets in the post beautifully and if he had real talent the knicks would be deadly. Imagine if the knicks had zach in those spots? That is money in the bank. Nobody on any of the teams the knicks played so far can handle zach and curry. Knicks still can run but when the half court game is a must the knicks would be almost guarenteed a basket.

Also frye is a *****. Frye just looks like a sucker and he has no strength or presence inside. Zach has that. Zach would get the rebounds frye can't. Zach can also hit those long jumpshots frye gets.

How can you guys not like zach?

malik played alot of these past 2 games with curry off the court.

if curry can stay on the court, he and zach would clash. you need a garbage man next to eddy to start (boozer would've been ideal) and a post up player off the bench (when curry sits). zach is a starter, not a 6th man.

Etan Thomas just came off a 14pt 15reb 6blk performance. I think the time to get him has passed. I'm so freakin angry about it. He is one of my favorite players. Everyone was sleeping on him.

Who you telling? Another guy the knicks should have pounced on when they had the chance. Utah has one of the best front courts in the game with ak-47, booz, and okur.

after a game like that, WAS would be very smart to trade the guy... he's a career 6 & 4 guy... this season he's putting up career #'s at 11 & 7 as a starter, but that's not exactly star level... u can get max value for him right now... u think Malik & CHI's 1st rounder wouldn't interest them? i think it would.

So I'm looking around the league can anyone think of anything? I seriously can't root for frye anymore and curry pisses me off when he gets in foul trouble and is in effective.

Should the knicks take a look at some young guys? Chris taft aka beatle juice was supposed to be a lottery guy yet fell to the second round only to get waived before this year.

Any bright ideas?

Washington would jump on that and I think he is worth that but if you are down playing what etan can do why do you want him?
