1. Eddy Curry is passing out of the post. I honestly have never seen him do that prior to this year, EVEN when he was double teamed, he still shot it or tried to spin and fouled someone.
2. Eddy Curry has dramatically improved his offensive fouls although he still needs work.
3. Eddy Curry is learning how to protect the paint and rebound. vast improvement from last year.
4. J Craw is still taking some nutty shots and making really horrible turnovers, but he has made more defensive plays in these 5 games than I have seen him make in all of last season. He has made at least 2 heroic defensive plays in the 5 games we have played, and has made several other just plain good defensive plays in general, I've noticed.

Here is what Isiah get credit for none of which you have mention.

1. Drafting David Lee, which i think is has second best move ever in the draft
2. In retrospect with Q playing well I will give him credit for that trade along with getting Nate
3. Balkman at 29 would have been a steal but I still like the energy he brings, he will get better and make the rotation, but his spot minutes are uplifting at times.

ISIAHS LACK OF COACHING/DEFENSE
1. Crawford is back to taking just awful shots
2. He isn't trying to involve frye in the offense
3. The guards are not looking for Curry enough, therefor he is not putting as much effort as possible in.
4. We can't guard anyone
5. Isiah starting Frye with Curry

JUST ABOUT EVERY OTHER MOVE HE HAS EVER MADE HAS BEEN A DISASTER NO NEED TO REHASH

I'm talking about this season as a coach, not all that other stuff though I tend to agree with about 99% of what you said.

i agree but i wouldent agree wit the jamal defense thing cuz i think he started doin that late last year under Larry... I also think Isiah is finding a nice ballence of accountability and encouragement so far.. at first i was worried it would be too wishy washy.. but i ilke the ballence as of now

I agree to an extent with Frye but he is having major fundamental issues. He couln't even catch the ball in ATL without turning it into a juggling act. He's hesitating on pulling the trigger from deep which points to lack of confidence. And lastly, the book is out on Frye. If you crowd him on the perimeter, he can't get a shot off because he can't put the ball on the floor.

Frye's numbers were going down last yr during the second half once teams realized he was a face up shooter. He's still relatively weak in the post at times and off balance.
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

I think we still need time to see how Balkman will do to see if he can show that he was worth picking so early. I remember hearing a lot of boos when they drafted Lee and now it's pretty much the consensus that it was a huge steal.

ditto. Not fundamentals or anything, just going through a funk mentally.

Now defense is another story.

Frye had about 5 pick and pops last night and made one. He has a chance to rip the rim off once and did a lay up. Still he hasnt shot a free throw yet this year

He needs to play his game. He needs to go back to being Le Grande French Frye

When i used to go to SUNY Purchase and watch the Knicks practice... I used to see Charles Oakley doin this drill where he would hold the ball above his head, standing under the backboard... he would repeatedly jump up and hit the ball against the board.. catch it and come down.. as fast as he could.. up , down up down fast fast fast... Channing needs to do **** like that for like an hour a day... He needs to improve his second jump... (oakleys wasent much either but still...)...

when Channing leaps for a block or a board... if he doesent get it on the fist jump he takes way too long to gather himself and re-jump for a second effort... David Lee is pretty good at this when it comes to boarding.. Marion is probobly the best in the league.

being 2-3 after 5 games
finding a role for balkman
establishing his authority as a coach (san antonio)
not giving the press anything to run with, keeping it in house
keeping marbury involved late in games
raising every players stock
Let's go Knicks. That's amare
