I really like what Malik brings to the table and i want to see him play on ONE CONDITION:

STOP POSTING UP!!!!!!!!!! Can't this guy just play within his limitations??? You got Eddy Curry on the other block and Malik is battling for position calilng for the ball.. Get the **** outa here... Swing that **** to the scorer and Malik make sure your in position in case of a double, thats it!!!!

I say it's not Malik's fault, he is trying to do everything in his power to win and that's what he knows. It's up to the guards to swing the ball to the other side and tell him to go away to the other side and let Curry post up.

Also, Malik actually does a better job of establishing position than Curry does.

he also gets a tun of offensive fouls trying to get position to post up for no reason... there is no need!!!

agreed. Malik fights, so far Curry and Frye just kinda loaf to the post.

I think we are both right in this instance. I hate it as much as you seeing Malik get the ball in a key moment with his back to the basket 20 feet away against Tim Duncan. I to put my head in my pillow and try to suffocate myself after his spin move decapitates another fan in the 8th row. But I love the fact that this guy wants it. Our situation is different than anyother team. Our team needs to understand what guts and desire really is, because none of these guys have shown this consistently. So when we get a guy like Malik out there busting his bizzzalls we need to reward him. I would prefer a guy like Marbs to turn to Curry and point out how hard Malik is working for the ball. That would help more than anything Malik can say. I just want Malik to continue to work hard. Oh and maybe work harder on the spin dribble in praactice.

That being said, if you ignore the awful foray's around the basket you will notice that Malik is a pretty good player. He does a lot on the court that help this team fight back into games. We are focusing too much on his offense and condemning his game for it.

Actually the decapitating a fan in the third row joke can be originally attributed to me from last year. I made this joke several times last year and even had it in my signature. but if you want to give Elite credit for it, whatever............

i love the effort & fight that Malik shows out there, but i have to agree w/Elite here... everytime i see Malik posting up down low, particularly in CRUNCHTIME, i'm clenching my buttcheeks so tight i could eat a piece of coal & crap out a diamond.

yo Malik, please, just set your picks, hustle on defense, & go after those rebounds my brotha... leave the post up game to Curry & Q.

Also lets not get it twisted, I think Malik is playing harder now on defense than he did at a lot of times last year... I remember a lot of times last year when he looked like he was halfing it... even tho is half is better than everyone elses full effort usually (on D). He is playin harder these past 2 games than usual... I think last year it got to a point where he felt hopeless.. cant blame him tho

Malik needs to post up cuz curry is not reliable. Curry is turnover prone. On a night like tonight and against every team the knicks faced they needed that guy at the 4 to do what malik has done. Yes the knicks need malik to post up. Curry hasn't been getting the ball but curry also isn't automatic.

I think its very clear the knicks need a guy that can take it up a notch from what malik is able to do.

All I ask guys is imagine if it was zach Randolph posting up instead of malik. The knicks would be undefeated. I'm telling you because I am a genius.

i'd rather Malik work w/Eddy in practice to show him how he needs to be posting up & demanding the ball down low... it's nice to see it from time to time during games too so that Curry is reminded of how it should be done, but please, NOT during crunchtime... all you're doing is clogging up the lane for the guards, & preventing Eddy from getting inside... if you want to motivate Eddy to post up strong down low, give him a little kick in his ass during a stoppage in play.
