A HUGE key is the Euro players Milicic and the greek center are allowed into the draft--I think ultimately they wlll be. That wil swing the pednulum of talent down. I think the retooling plan I have come up with his the BEST avenue we can take. i think we wil end up with a 4-5 pick. HOPEFULLY we will find a team with severe cap trouble who may be interested in trading the pick for vets [golden state?] and we will be able to secure a second high pick in the 7-8 range. There are two players that I am very interested in-well Ive already said it a couple of times and that is Emeka Okafor and Chris Bosh. Emeka would walk right in and take over the 5 spot and Chris would develop as a 7-8 man in the rotation. Emeka is very much like a young mcdyess although I think he wil be better -especialy on the defnsive end. Chris is a specialty talent and goes along with the plan to make our frontline 6-10 accross the board.

I still think that IF the euro kids come in the draft order will be
lebron
milicic
carmelo anthony
the greek kid
emeka okafor
dwayne wade
chris bosh
chris thomas
kendrick perkins
tj ford

so we would need to obtain the 7th pick. We have a bunch of ending contracts along with KT. We could possibly send all of those contracts out to GS including KT for Danny Fortson Bobby Sura and their pick. Sura should be 100% by next year. We would be sending KT Ward and Knight.

I agree, I'm loving those players after all the question marks at the top of the draft. Okafor's a beast, Bosh will be able to outplay anybody, Ford and Thomas are SOLID PGs, and I haven't really seen Wade play but from what I see he's a good player.

Okafor could be this year's Ben Wallace. Though players like Stoudemire and Hilario were considered the next Wallace's, they don't have the shot blocking ability Okafor and Wallace have. Okafor could even end up being better if his offense develops. James will go number one, and while most think Milicic will go second, i think Carmelo Anthony will make a strong case for himself. These are the top three either way. The greek kid and Kedrick Perkins will come into the league similar to Eddy Curry and both will be late lotto picks. I would love to somehow get Darko Milicic though because he's going to be a special player.

Put it this way and you can go look it up but Emekas offensive skills are WAY better than Ben Wallaces right now-nevermind when he was in colege. Emeka has a nice 12 footer he developed--I mean the guy is averaging 21.5 14 and 6 on 55% shooting. Emeka is also 8 years younger than ben and weighs just as much

Emeka sounds like the real deal in terms of becoming a power player in the post. Combine him with McDyess on the other side, Houston and Vujanic hitting threes, and a swingman the Knicks could acquire (please get Gerald Wallace), and that wouldn't be that bad. Is Emeka still growing, because if this kid was 2 inches taller and a legit 7 footer he'd go top 3.
