I know it's only game 5 and season 2 with this bunch and it's not fair for me to ask them to try all night long, so I was curious in finding out what I am allowed to expect tonight

My standards are pretty low tonight. I don't even want them to try hard for 48 minutes. I'll take 12. The first 12. Try hard for the first quarter. Bust your asse for the first 12 minutes. Than after you've shown us that you can do that please feel free to slack off for the next 36. The next game we can go for the first 13 and so on and so on.

Tell me, am I asking to much? Is it too early to ask for the first 12 minutes, Or should I settle for 6? Is asking for the first 12 unreasonable considering they haven't had a chance to really warm up yet? Should I ask them to try for the 2nd quarter instead? I'm confused as to what to ask for from my favorite team.

I also have a new employee. He's been here 2 months and really hasn't shown me a work ethic at all. He's been late over 10 times and has produced nothing. I was thinking of firing him but feel I may be asking too much. Should I give him a year or two to get used to the morning commute before I ask him to show up on time? I'm confused, somebody help me.

I just hope that people will like me

man i dont know what to tell you... I have a hard time lowering my expectations untill we are truely "out of it"..... That 6 game streak last year gave me so much false hope i nearly killed my self.

The spurt at the end of the game vs the spurs makes me want to believe... but... they will crush me again tonight im sure

It's not about your standards. It's about repairing the continuing damage caused by Larry Brown.

Our basketball players are sensitive, delicate people. You can't yell at them, or put too much pressure on them or they'll crack. Once they do crack they require long months, or even years of rehabilitation.

They need affirmation and to be told that they are good enough, they are smart enough and, doggone it, the fans love them.

Tell them to just go out there and have fun on the basketball court. Don't put too much pressure on them to execute certain plays or adhere to certain principles. After all, it's just a hobby. The idea is to go out there, run around and just have fun. If you happen to make a basket or a pass, or get a rebound or something, that's good, but don't get hung up on "winning". Remind the players that they have won the game of life.

Finally, don't fall into the trap of being one of those authoritarian, joy-stealing coaches. Smile at your players and encourage them. Show them your unconditional love.

Wins count immediately but losses get deferred for 60 days. We wont know our record thru April until the June audit.

Dude I have been calling out sick a lot the last few weeks. Its like once every 2 weeks. I called out sick today.

I'm like an official member of the knicks!

I personally am going through a stressful time in my life and its hard to get up and go to work even though I need my job. I expect to be diciplined sooner or later but its better for me to just take the time off and just regain my energy and just maintain some type of sanity. I am human. If I get fired that's on me.

I'm just saying. These guys are human. They are wealthy humans but some people seem to think I'm rich too doing what I do. Even if you are supposedly doing well, it can be tough as hell to just get up and start your day. On the job stress, and personal life stress can get to you. I bet having people tell you that you suck to your face and behind your back has got to hurt. I get called an ******* and all types of names just showing up in uniform. People talk bad about my peers all over the place from the streets to the papers to TV.

In all seriousness I hope these knicks can entertain us and make us happy this year and build on that for the future. That's all we can hope for.

Take care of yourself dude. That stress can be a killer. I let stress get out of hand and wound up gaining weight, and now I have high blood pressure, which I'm trying to deal with by dropping some weight and handling the stress better. Unfortunately you can't make the stress go away so you have to try to handle it better. You could check out The Relaxation Response

The Knicks don't stress me out, even if they lose. I can't get that into it, otherwise I wouldn't watch the games.

I wrote all that just to compare to the knicks. Its just a game but these dudes do it for a living. They get cursed out like a mofo and everyone in the world is kicking them cuz they are down.

Maybe that is what frye is going through. I know last year they all were beaten down pretty bad. The money helps but they still gotta suit up and come to work. I think some of these guys are carrying feelings over. Craw is definatly playing anxious.

On the other hand, people applaud them when they do well. When was the last time someone clapped for you when you did a good job?

Doesn't look like your first 12 minutes wish is coming true Bip.
