Frye - when he gets it together... and he WILL get it together.. expect him to be the next captain

Mardy Collins - expect him to gain minutes in the absence of Francis, a 6'6 clone of Chollie Ward - with better hops and Philly intuition

Nate - his fearless qualities are precious down the stretch, if he learns to keep his head up on the dribble he will be lethal

David Lee - leader by example, not a rah-rah kinda guy, but works his azz off on the boards and thatb is worth the price of admission

Channing doesn't seem to have leader type personality or demeanor to me... he seems more like a follower... maybe after several years he'll become a leader by default much in the same way that Allan Houston became 1 in his later years, but Channing is a guy who needs to learn from some strong, positive role models... Allan had LJ, Ewing & Oak... a guy like Antonio Davis would have been a perfect guy to hold onto to fill that role for Channing to learn from & emulate.

i'd say the "actual" leaders on this team this year have been Q, Malik & Lee... Francis has been trying to lead too, i can see it, but he's been just as inconsistent w/his play & on court decisions as everyone else... Nate's been a motivator with his sheer energy & exuberance, but he's still learning from the other guys.

as for Marbs, leave it to the Knicks to name the worst possible choice to lead this team as their Captain.
