that isiah thomas might easily make the players tune him out as the season goes on ?

The players might eventually see him as a lameduck coach like they did Chaney and get tired of his rhetoric.

I wonder if Security will escort him outof MSG when the new coach and GM STEPS IN.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

i think it's fair to say that the next GM to step in is going to blow up the ship & get rid of all the players that have tuned out coaches during their time here... it's not hard to distinguish those guys from the ones who play hard regardless of the circumstances or the system they're playing in.

I'm thinking about getting a job with MSG security just so that I might have a chance at kicking that ***hole out when he gets fired.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

This possibility was brought up a couple months ago by Bip. I was nearly run off the board for raising the possibility. So be careful playa

it could happen, playa.

Last year marbury was our de-facto leader, and he had the ear of our then all powerful GM. This year marbury is working himself into marginality and isiah isn't looking so powerful. I think behind the scenes Crawford is our leader, and he has a lot of friends on the team, and worthy or not, i don't think he's happy with his backup role. If he coses to turn on isiah, and takes his buddies: Eddy, Q, Nate, Frye, and Lee with him, it's Oversville for Isiah.

So between the entitled malcontents of Marbury and Francis, and the binder of Crawford, isiah is boxed in a corner on making everyone happy. it's all been hugs and giggles so far, but if we're 3-12 or so 15 games in we could be in looking down quite a sink hole.

They have already tuned him out otherwise he wouldn't of had to bench them. I think it's a different kind of tuning out though vs what happened with Larry.
