I was at the game last night and was SHOCKED when as soon as I sat down, the spurs hit a three and my entire section ERUPTED!!! I WAS SURROUNDED BY SPURS FANS! Then i moved down a tier, and somehow got stuck next to some idiot europeans who kept trying to start the wave. To make it even better, i had somehow AGAIN found myself surrounded by spur fans. WHAT AN AWFUL NIGHT. Of course, I left in disgust before the rally.

F...ING SPURS FANS!! WHO KNEW?!?!?!?

Hmmm...I might have been in the same section as you. I think it was the 300's? My friend and I had the $10 tickets, but we have been able to sit on the lower level for the past few years, in that same spot behind the basket to the right, across from the Knicks bench.

They weren't necessarily Spurs fans by me, but Argentinians who were rooting for Ginobli, and therefore the Spurs. They had Argentina shirts and a flag they were waving. But it is sad that we would actually have a section of non-Knick fans at a game. I've NEVER seen that in my lifetime at MSG before.

Yeah thats where I was. My girl calmed me down, telling me they were only spurs fans because the spurs have so many foreign players. It still made me sick to my stomach tho. Listening to spurs fans laugh at my team. God i hope we get better.

Oh, I didn't read that carefully. I gues there were some non-Knick fans on the upper levels too. I noticed the people trying to start the wave in the mid-tier section. I thought they sounded like soccer fans too, interesting. There were also some guys from Scotland behind us in kilts, who came down near where we were sitting and asked me if I "supported" the Knicks. He came down a few times to ask me about the game, the Knicks, etc.

Yeah, after we blew the comeback in the 4th, did you hear them singing "nah nah nah nah...hey hey hey goodbye" to the Knicks? That was crazy.

Well, my wife might have something to say about that...

Anyway, I figured it was a chant for soccer or something, because I started joking with my friend by mock singing one of the more famous soccer chants. Then at one point when Ginobli tried to draw a charge on Robinson and flopped, which was not called. I said loudly, "This is not the World Cup! No flopping allowed!" Then I pretended to issue him a red card. I was just playing though, but it is interesting how many foriegners were at the game yesterday. The Scottish guys were just there for fun, no affiliation with the Spurs.

But that late push was something to see. The crowd was the loudest it’s been in a while. But we just don’t have guys on this team that know how to win down the stretch. I can’t get excited about 7 solid minutes by marbury. Great effort by our bench but I don’t think as fans, we should be happy about that. How many times does this team have to fight from behind? At one point, there was over $80 mil on the bench watching picks #20, 21, 29, and 30 out there bringing the team back. Can this effort by our bench inspire our starters? 3 tough road games ahead in Denver, Houston, and san antonio. We’ll see but it was fun to hear the crowd like that again. Btw, what do we do about frye?
It wasn't 7 solid minutes by Marbury, it was 7 incredible minutes. 13 incredible minutes by Nate. 8 incredible minutes by Mardy. Nate is playing the role Crawford should be playing, he comes in and lights it up. Frye is still a huge question mark but I believe in him, I cannot forget how tough he was last season. He was awesome, and I think he will be again. Defensively, I don't know.

Mardy looked really good, and the Spurs have really poor transition defense, thats how we scored alot of our points. We never even had a fast break last season.

Crawford has got to come alive for us. 7 points 3 to's in 30 minutes is just not gonna cut it.

Bruce Bowen does this stuff on purpose, how many times is the same injury gonna happen to a different player on HIS foot?

You have to admit though, that that comeback in the 4th had the Garden going nuts. That was great. I was slapping hands with people near me, etc. That rule about when you make a big comeback that you have to take the lead showed to be ever so true last night.

Yeah, my friend and I were shocked. Before the game started he commented on it, but I thought that maybe they were just late comers, but you could then see that this was the case in every corner. Maybe you can have a "Live from Section 300!" now if you like. Pretty crazy. I think it does show how much pressure Isiah is under to get the team to win. Amazing that Dolan can spend so much money and have so many empty seats. This was only the 2nd home game (my friend and I always go to this one). Imagine what MSG might be like if the team keeps stinking and it's March. You might be the only one at the game.
