The Knicks play no defense. The team did not get their hands in the Pacer's grills. All of their jumpshots were wide open without much contest. Are the NYK's on crack? How are they suppose to win without keeping their hands up and in their opponents face? Only Q an D Lee play any defense at all. That is why I would like to hold on to the both of them. We are in big trouble. The Pacer's also missed quite a few open looks which helped keep us in the game along with Nates burst of energy. Nate can only do so much by himself. J Oneal slapped us around silly on the defensive end.

We have no help defense. We are backpedaling on the opponents guards penentration (like always) when they drive instead of staying in front of them. There is no lateral movement on the D. Van Gundy would have sat all the starters down for bs defense like this. Even in streetball games I keep my hands set and I contest shots. GOODNESS

Our bigs provide 0 help defense down low. Each man is by himself on defense and the results are open jumpshots and easy drives to the goal. It is becoming ugly.

On offense we do not move around at all. What happened with Isiah's so called motion or Phoenix like offensive attack? That is bs. My eyes still tell me that we play 1 on 1 basketball and the team watches 1 player make a move. I thought basketball is a team game.

If the NYK's suffer from another terrible season I say we phase the team out by letting their contracts run out or trade for smaller ones. Do we want 2-3 more loosing seasons or an eternity of loosing seasons?

Perhaps IT should go if the team makes no significant progress. We should look to build the team around winning players and winning management. This team does not consist of any winners accept for the potential of Lee, Q and perhaps Balkman and Robinson. The rest of the team will never be winners and Curry will never live up to his so called potential. He is a Role player and thats it. I thankfully admit to see some progress in his game such as playing longer minutes and contributing more to the game. I would love to be proven wrong about him being a role player.

I would dive on the floor for every loose ball, foul out, make some noise, block a shot for the salary these guys are making. Any pride?

I thought Francis said We are coming out with energy this year?

No defense no offensive continuity and chemistry means big problems. We need to work on solid solutions at game 4 of the season before it becomes too late.
Cutting Rose and Taylor was a solid start.

The Knicks suck, it's plain and simple. Theres a reason I was so worried about this team all summer and all preseason long. The players don't mesh, are not accountable for themselves or each other and we have NO franchise player to build this team around for the coming years. And oh yeah, we're giving the Bulls our lottery pick.

Curry is playing really nice, I'm happy with his progress, he still doesn't rebound enough though, although at this point, I'll take what he's giving us.

Isiah has to go if the Bulls get our lottery pick combined with a repeat terrible season. A repeat of last year demands major change. Better off keeping:

Balkman
Jeffries
Q
Lee
Robinson

Buy out the rest of team and bring in NBDL players until we have the flexiblity to build with the players named above. With that flexibility is a necessity to shrewdly draft and sign players. We cannot make mistakes on passing on players like Williams if he in fact becomes a terrific point guard. (Ron Artest) I have not watched him in college, but he looks real good out there for a rookie from what I've seen.

With the players I want to keep, either Jeffries or Q can start and the rest are solid off the bench. It wouldnt be past me to watch NBDL players work hard and play better defense than our squad of little leaguers.

Curry gets no respect from me when players are driving to the hoop without him contesting their approach and shot. He has to rebound and defend aside from scoring in bunches. He needs to be an animal out there for us to have any success. I think the paycheck is animal enough.

I find it interesting that Lee still escapes criticism for his D. It was as bad as anyone elses. Harrington went nuts with Lee on him, just like Warrick did in the first game.

There is not one player on the team that played defense last night. Not one. Not Frye or anyone else. Every Pacer did what he wanted to, especially Harrington. Oneal made Curry look like a lamppost, Harrington did whatever he wanted to to Lee and Frye and Darrel Armstrong was getting busy.

Pretty disappointing.

D lee that extra weight hurt his speed he might not have more bodyfat% but the extra weight--like Ok$ last year is more of a detterant. You can get stronger but keep the same weight.

I saw 2-3 Knicks dive for loose balls last night
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I saw that too, it was in the opening 5 minutes, I was pretty excited about it. Too bad it didn't lead to anything but when it happened, I was pretty excited to see Easy E diving for the ball.

Lee's extra weight is not hurting him - hes getting tuns of boards and running the floor... You said it made his D worse? I disagree.. His D was just as bad last year.
